So,.... I think my guardians recognize that i'm a furry but don't really know how to.... "grasp it".

I've been in the fandom for a few years now and my art style has greatly improved.
i've switched between like 7 different fursonas and i'm finally happy with Luna <3

I almost always show any art work I make to my guardians and they like my art and since they always get me ears and tails and such I'm sure that they either:
recognize me as a furry
or
just think i really like acting like an animal.

Wow you're so lucky they will get you ears and tails. I'd do anything for my parents to let me get a tail and ears of my fursona. They just wouldn't understand it though I don't think. I have a plan to introduce to the furry community but haven't started yet. I'm hoping by allowing them to see me watching furry YouTube videos and drawing art they'll just realise it's a thing I'm into and maybe ask questions and stuff

You are really lucky. My mother hated it when I would wear my tail around town. Said that "dressing like that was appropriate for Halloween". She didnt even like me wearing my collar.

Okay, that gives me a question. Does anyone know of any places I can get good tails or collars? I've seen a few websites but I don't really know. I aim to tell my parents before my birthday so I might be able to spend any money I get on a tail.

best bet is Amazon.
Pawstar products are usually the best.

3 out of my 4 tails are made with real fur from different sellers (sorry if that offends you,.. the animals were raised in humane ways. i did my research!)
my 4th one was just a tiny little clip on thing i got from Spencer's.

ah, I know the feeling all too well.
I'm not allowed to wear my tails unless i'm going out to the mall or going to an event. my ears are okay cause they're little clip on things that i got from a seller in china and my collar is just a choker-ish thing one of my friends got me. I always wear that out and they don't care if I wear it.
