create a clan (CaC) is a game where you can create and run your own warrior cats clan.

i decided to create an archive of my clan, brookclan, so i could find my posts easily.

this was inspired by the archives of caveclan and pineclan.

[ the territory and borders ]

north // the brook // roseclan

south // a clearing // streamclan

west // maple tree forest // clan

east // dense forest // caveclan

to the north, you can see the brook that gave the clan it's name. it starts from a small creek in cedarclan territory and continues through the whole brookclan territory. the brook is filled with fish and other water prey. it is a great spot for fishing
or swimming, and reflects the colors of the sky when the sun sets.

to the south, there is a clearing that continues into streamclan territory. it is full of small creatures such as squirrels, mice and voles, and cats can sometimes catch a rabbit there. it is commonly used by mentors to train their apprentices, as there is plenty
of space to learn to fight, trees to learn to climb and prey to learn to hunt.

to the west, cats can enjoy the sight of large maple trees. medicine cats sometime go there to search for herbs, as there's many different types of plants here. it is also a good hunting spot, as birds make their nests in the branches
and mice like to hide under the trees' roots.

to the east, there is the dense forest that hides the brookclan camp. it is well hidden between the bushy branches of the trees, and a huge oak marks their gathering spot. for a cat would like to hunt, but not go too far away from camp or a medicine cat
looking for herbs that don't grow near the maple trees, this is a good spot to go.

silverbreeze gazed lovingly at the bundles of fur tucked against her flank. "they're both healthy and strong. i'll leave you rest now, someone else wants to see you." riversong meowed. "thank you." the queen whispered, smiling as the medicine cat left only to be replaced by an anxious nightstrike. "are you alright? how are th-" the warrior stopped speaking at the sight of the kittens. the black tom let out a purr as the striped kit pounced on his tail. "did you name them yet?" he asked, gently taking the kit by the neck and putting him down beside his mother. "that little tom's name is rainkit, but i don't know for the she-cat. do you have any ideas?" nightstrike's eyes widened in surprise. "but i'm not the father!" mistbreeze's smile vanished and her face hardened. "their father was cruel and cold. all he cared about was himself. i was a fool to fall in love with him." the queen meowed, looking angry and sad at once. "then i must be a fool too," the warrior whispered, nuzzling the silver she-cat, "because i fell in love with you." mistbreeze let out a purr and returned the nuzzle, the pair sitting there quietly together, hoping this moment would continue forever.

hawkfeather was sitting in front of the great oak, giving away orders. "sandheart, foxclaw, thistlefang, dustleap, gingersplash and i will go hunting." the warriors nodded and walked towards the entrance, waiting for the tom to join them before leaving. the deputy looked around, spotting ivystep and bearnose chatting near the fresh-kill pile. the new warrior was quite nice to talk to, but seemed to prefer passing his time with ivystep. hawkfeather made up a patrol in his mind and called the two cats, as well as the remaining warriors who had been waiting for orders nearby. "you five go on another hunting patrol. search the borders for prey." the cats all nodded before leaving through the camp's entrance. how am i going to manage such a clan when stonestar retires? the brown tom thought, shaking his head before heading towards the hunting party.

snowlily gently licked the head of her kit, who responded with a little squeak. her mate, larkwing, let out a purr. "he's so perfect," the warrior meowed, nuzzling the queen, "have you thought of a name for him yet?" before the white she-cat could reply, a shy meow was heard. "i didn't want to interrupt or anything, but stonestar asked me to tell you to organize a patrol." gingersplash was in the entrance of the nursery, her gaze landing on the tiny kitten. "aww! he's so cute!" the she-cat exclaimed, making the queen smile. snowlily gently nudged her mate towards the entrance. "go on now, you both need to catch prey for the clan." seeing larkwing's hesitation, she added, "i'll tell you his name afterwards." the warrior reluctantly nodded and exited the nursery and soon the white she-cat could hear his voice calling other warriors for a hunting patrol.

rainkit stared longingly at the hunting patrols leaving camp. they were warriors, they were free to leave camp whenever they wanted to. they weren't stuck in the nursery all day long. the tom turned his head as he heard a cat coming towards him. it was frostpaw, the new apprentice, skipping towards him. "hey rainkit!" the she-cat exclaimed in a cheerful tone. the siamese cat was just as old as rainkit, but somehow was allowed to be an apprentice. nevertheless, the she-cat was nice to have around. "hey." the striped tom said flatly. "i heard your apprentice ceremony was today." rainkit jumped to his feet, excitement suddenly filling his eyes. "really?!" frostpaw let out a chuckle and nodded. unable to contain his excitement, the striped kit turned and blurted the news to his sister, who became just as happy as he was. mistbreeze watched her kits from the back of the nursery, a sad smile on her face. seeing his mother's expression, rainkit quickly calmed down and slowly walked towards his mother. "you're both growing up so fast..." the queen whispered. the kit cuddled up next to miztbreeze, muzzling the queen's neck. "no matter was happens mom, we're always going to love you." badgerkit nuzzled her mother as well before adding, "forever."

stonestar looked down from the great oak at the gathered cats around him. "i have decided to start a new tradition in brookclan." the tom started, earning a few nods and whispers of excitement. "it is called the brook's blessing. when a kit is ready to become an apprentice..." stonestar spoke for a long time, sandheart encouraging him to go on with a few smiles. when he was finished, most cats seemed quite excited about the new tradition in brookclan. "does anyone have any questions?" a few seconds passed and then one of the youngest warriors, dustleap, stood. "how do we know this guardian thing isn't just plain nonsense invented by starclan?" gasps of surprise were heard from the clan. many cats, including larkwing, the tom's ancient mentor, were staring sternly at the young warrior. stonestar, calm as always, simply flicked his tail and twitched his mouth into a small grin. "frostpaw, rainpaw and badgerpaw, please come forward." the apprentices frowned and walked towards their leader, as confused as the cats around them. "you three will be the first brookclan cats to receive the brook's blessing." chills of excitement went through the apprentices, and dustleap was open his mouth when his leader cut him off. "when the moon is high up in the sky, you will all go to the river, escorted by dustleap and gingersplash. they will assure your safety while you meet your guardians. assembly dismissed."

later on in the day, dustleap walked the moonlight lit path to the brook. once there, the warrior impatiently sat down near the water, his tail flicking. "you'll have to come down if you want to survive the night." gingersplash purred. the siblings were silent as the apprentices all pressed their noses to the rushing water at the same time. almost immediately, the young cats fell asleep. many hours passed, and only at dawn did one of the apprentices stir. bagerpaw opened her eyes, looking around until she spotted dustleap and his sister. "i met my guardian! he told me to find this pebble, it should be somewhere around here..." the black and white she-cat got to her feet and walked into the shallow water. soon after, all apprentices had awoken and were looking around for their pebbles. suddenly, badgerpaw let out a loud meow. "found it!" the apprentice dipped her tail into the water and wrapped it around a shiny black pebble. "me too!" "me three!" dustleap looked at the three pebbles the apprentices had chosen, wondering if this whole guardian thing really was real. "it was so amazing! the clearing looked so real!" frostpaw was saying to rainpaw, who vigorously nodded in agreement. when the little group arrived in camp, the few cats who were awake walked over to greet them. stonestar approached dustleap with a smile on his face. "so, did starclan lie?" the stone tom asked. everycat turned around to hear the dusty warrior's response. "starclan never lies."
