MIKA

Tags: -Peeks through fingers-

Mika huffed as she went down rolling over to look up at Hanzar with amazement in her eyes. Yep, she expected as much from her Argonian. A touch of pride entered her gaze as she stood up dusting herself off. Don't doubt herself huh? Mika got back into position studying Hanzar for a moment as she thought. He said don't think to much about it, but she had a idea. After a moment of being lost in her thoughts her gaze focused. "Khajiit are good with our claws. Is punching the same as slashing? Everything seems to be same except having my claws out." She told him softly tilting her head before lunging forward putting more speed in her movement this time. She figured power was what she had to use, but now she realized speed was good as well. Instead of putting a whole swing in one punch she used both her fists twisting her body only a little for each to add a humph to it. The short jabs were aimed for his stomach. Knowing he would probably move, and to the left that had more space she backed away. Pivoting on her back foot she brought her other leg around in a arc aimed for his head using one flow of momentum.

Skyrim RP \\ Post 113 \\ Hanzar ~ Winterhold

Postby Durnehviir » Thu Jan 26, 2017 11:20 am

    Hanzar \\ M \\ 26 \\ Argonian \\ Tags: Mika
A chuckle escaped his mouth as he listened to Mika. "I'm not a big fan of cat scratches, they're rather.. painful." He murmured. In the next instant, Hanzar was taken off-guard as he saw her swing towards him. The argonian ducked his head at the last moment, her fist only grazing the top, soft part of his horns. Without wasting another moment he saw Mika shift on her weight and soon lifted her leg to have her foot connect to his face. Hanzar grinned happily before he quickly grabbed her ankle just as her foot was about to connect to the side of his face. Mika was now balancing on one foot while he held the other with one hand. "That was better, and distracting me was cheating, but I'll take it. Use that to your advantage, but not every foe will be distracted as easily. Just make sure you stay unpredictable." He said cooly as he still held her foot. "Also; I like how you didn't hesitate in your next move, that can also take a foe off guard. Never hesitate Mika. It could mean life or death." His eyes blazed into the women that stood in front of him. Gently dropping her leg so she could stand regularly. "Now; it's my turn. Try to block me. Trust me Mika, I won't hurt you." He said in a serious tone.

Conavin straightened his posture and nodded, finally able to get control of himself. "How much you wanna bet that everyone in there is going to stare at us like we're maniacs?" he asked in a teasing tone. He felt much more relaxed around Raavi so he started to show his joking side. "I'm betting a sweet roll and ale that at least half of the people in there heard us."

Raavi Kinair/ Khajiit/ Nightingale/ Mood: Regaining Composure/ Female/ 22/ Tags; Conavin.

Raavi followed Conavin's lead, trying to calm down just as he did. He appeared to be normally composed and cool, even in rough situations; and the Nightingale respected him for that. Kinair was usually very excitable, and even started a few fights due to her temper. She had a few subjects that got her angry if joked about too much, despite her efforts to calm herself down. But, Conavin was obviously a different story. He was nonchalant and relax, yet firm and okay with using some tricky schemes to get what he needed. Raavi promised herself that she would try to act like him more, as a easygoing thief was much better than a touchy one. "I think that everybody in there is going to look at us funny." Raavi stated confidently, knowing the members well. "I'll raise you two wines and a whole pie of your or my choice if I'm right." she had a hint of a chuckle in her playful tone as she raised the stakes of the bet.

Conavin noticed that Raavi followed his lead, suddenly calming down. He made a small note of that for later, it might mean that she was easy to influence, or maybe she just wanted to act like him, either way that could be useful later. He had thoughtful look on his face as he thought over Raavi's bet. "Deal." He had the feeling that he would lose, but two bottles of wine and a pie wasn't expensive, so he couldn't find a reason to object. He realized that Raavi must be rubbing off on him. He never did anything unless it would profit him and he didn't have fun, unless your idea of fun was practicing magic all day. He didn't mind, a small bet didn't mean he was going to suddenly turn into a talkative, happy go lucky Nightingale.

Akadar Strong-Blade - Male - 26 - Nord - Whiterun Watchtower - Tagged: Talos save this poor man
Days passed. It had been more than a week since the last time he'd seen Anya, much less spoken with her. The Imperial huntress kept her word, much to the guard's dismay. It seemed they were not meant to be, and gods forbid if they ever met again. Overall, the experience just left him miserable. The other guards quickly grew weary of teasing the young Nord, seeing how much the experience affected him. Trying to draw one of his best men out of his own pit of sorrow, Commander Caius provided Akadar with a new task. "The west watchtower?" He asked skeptically. Caius nodded. "The fresh air will do you some good. You've been cooped up inside these walls much too long. Four other men will be posted with you, so do not stress yourself too much." Slightly dazed, the guard nodded. "Yes sir." Commander Caius picked a good position; the watchtower sat in the middle of the plains, the city barely in sight on the horizon. The men in the watchtower rarely got any action, but despite how laid-back the position was, Akadar was sure to make certain his job was done. Three of the others took their breaks on the bottom floor, playing cards and laughing heartily over their meals, while Akadar and the other stood watch at the top. Akadar sat in a sturdy, wooden chair as he cleaned the dirt from his mace with a rag. "Keep your eyes sharp, lad." The Nord informed the younger guard, one of the newer recruits. "Even if very little happens here, we must be prepared when something does." The other nodded, shifting in place. He was still new to the whole guard attitude, which didn't surprise Akadar. He himself went through the same thing when he joined the Whiterun guard. A roar echoed in the distance, the land distorting the sound. "Dragon," The boy said. Akadar scoffed. "Don't be ridiculous. The guard is no place for pranks or crying wolf. There is no dragon." Had the Nord forseen what came next, he would have thought differently.

The swooping of wings combined with the second cry of "Dragon! brought him to attention. A massive dragon thundered towards them, its silvery wings darkening the tower with a massive shadow. Akadar grabbed the guard trainee by the shoulder and threw him beneath the small table tucked against the stone wall. The shelter was meager, but it would have to do. The Nord snatched up a shield for himself and hid behind it moments before the dragon opened its maw. "Yol," The remainder of its thu'um was drowned out by fire as it passed. Had it not swept over, Akadar was certain he would have met his end. The other from downstairs rushed up the staircase in confusion. It changed to fear and panic at the sight of the beast. "Hurry, before the dragon comes back." He hefted the recruit to his feet, having no time to reassure him. "Inform the Jarl, quickly. Don't just stand there, make haste boy!" The young man stumbled down the tower and out into the open, taking their only horse and making a run for it. Akadar ushered the rest into the tower, praying the dragon wouldn't pursue the boy. On the safe side, he notched an arrow and fired at the circling beast. He missed, but the message got across. Now the dragon was angry.

Thankfully, Apocrypha need not lift a claw to see the Nord retreat from the conversation, which left her and the theiving one alone to do business. "Now," She continued, scoffing a dry laugh at the uneasiness of the Kahjiit's steed. "As I stated, I am in need of your talents, thief. I have an offer for you." The firebird turned her head, cocking it ever so subtly to the side. "Are you perhaps interested in a vast reward? Whatever you desire, it may be yours. The world is ripe for the taking." She crooned, trying to entice the thief.

{Nameless} - Dawnstar Stables - Tagged: Open
The beast was a cursed one. The guards said it, the miners said it, as did most everyone in Dawnstar. Didn't they have enough on their plate already? No one in town got a wink at night, someone had opened up his own home as a museum to the cult of Mythic Dawn, and suspicions were arising about the necromancer fellow who used to perform ghastly rituals under everyone's noses. Now the town was home to a cursed horse. As normal as the steed appeared, it made travelers and natives alike uneasy, and it frightened every beast that came near, including the other horses it stabled with. They eyes people claimed were the most unnerving; they were like deep pits with inky depths and reflected no light, though it was clear it did not just have no eyes in its sockets. The stable hands were getting desperate to rid themselves of the beast, offering it to every traveler that passed through and a greatly reduced price. The gorgeous ivory horse seemed entirely unaware of all this, or it simply didn't care. It was kept well fed and warm.

The khajiit narrowed her eyes as she calmed herself down. She raised her hand for the bird to silence her beak. "What exactly do you want, and what exactly is my reward. I'm a very busy women, so please get to the point. I mean not to sound rude but I'm trying to tell myself I'm not loosing my mind by speaking with a.. what are you?" Dar'Zarina asked in a slight daze as she let her hand fall back down to the reins of her horse. A small sigh escaped her momentarily. "And why are you picking me? There are many, many better thieves than myself. Hanzar. M'Jhera.. the list goes on an on.." She spoke with a furrow to her brow.

Although physically unable to change her own expression, Apocrypha's gaze hardened. She refused to be interrupted, and seeing this mortal had the audacity to do so appalled her. The feathers at the base of her skull and along her belly fluffed out a hair in annoyance. "Silence! Do not dare interrupt me. There are better thieves, but here I stand. Take it as a compliment in your talents, thankless mortal." She allowed her dark green feathers to lie flat. "Knowledge is what I seek. Thus, knowledge for knowledge. Whatever you desire to know, it may be yours. If however, you are just like all others who have come before you, copious amounts of gold is always another appetizing option." Apocrypha opened a wing and plucked out what resembled a purplish piece of flesh with her dull beak, tossing it to the side where it began to squirm like an independent organism. She then returned her attention to the Kahjiit. "And if you must know, I am a firebird. A noble creature who thrives with knowledge and learning. You should be honored to stand in the presence of one."

Dar'Zarina could help but laugh at the bird. She clutched her stomach as she lost all control as she laughed. After several moments she looked up to the bird. "You're telling me to be quiet. Though I never interrupted you. The last I checked you were the one who interrupted my friend and I's conversation. Also overhearing our conversation was wrong as it was none of your business. Before you contuine to scold me and roll your beady little eyes at me, tell me who or what you work for. You're the one who came onto me so you she be a little more accepting of my actions. Also, I have plenty of coin, so I don't necessarily need your 'job' but I am a bit interested. So, who are you working for and what do you want me to do? I'm not guarteeing my hand, so don't get any funny ideas." The khajiit spoke calmly with a smooth voice. Her ears swiveled towards the bird as she waited for a responce. Dar'Zarinas long tail flicked anxiously from side to side in anticipation.
