harper was puzzled at the fact she was nervous about the apartment. it didn't matter. she was a really nice girl, and he liked her, a lot. "I told you, I'll like you nonetheless." he told her, jokingly formal. "what's the address?"

[hayzel]

brook thought for a moment, before telling him the address of the small apartment. "it should only be a few minutes down the road sine we're taking your car." she looked out the window, before looking at harper again.

harper nodded. he pulled up to a shady looking part of town. it was trashy, and dusty, but he didn't care. "in this area?" he asked, looking around. he even saw stray cats.

brook sighed. "y-yeah. this is it." she muttered, getting out of the car and waiting for harper to follow her. she looked in the direction of her apartment, shuddering at the filthy building she lived in.

harper jumped out of the car, locking it. he felt a little unsafe, but he knew he shouldn't care so it didn't make Brooklyn feel self conscious. he smiled at her, unable to say anything.

brook felt herself at harpers side as they walked towards the apartment. it was often referred to as the rough side of town. she didn't particularly like living in the area she did, however it was the only area she could afford. brook led to the way the apartment, keeping her eyes on the door.

harper kept Brooklyn at his side, nervous someone was going to jump out at her. she needed to be safe. they walked inside, and he was surprised that it wasn't half bad. there was a fan in the lobby, and the seats looked decent.

brook sighed. "i know it looks bad, but my apartment looks a lot better than this. i spent some money my uncle gave me before he passed to do it up so it's fairly bearable to live in." she took her keys out of her pocket, and located the key to her apartment. she stuck it in the door and twisted it until it made a 'click' noise. she pushed the door open, to find that it was infact tidy. she was relived that she tidied it the day before.

he was pleasantly surprised at how nice the room was. of course it wasn't perfect, but it was nice. the couches look comfy, and he could see a small kitchen. what caught his attention the most was the bookshelf. "it's actually quite nice. why were you so nervous?"

"well the area doesn't have the best reputation, my furniture is cheap and second hand, and it always smells of smoke considering nearly everyone here smokes. it;s just.. compared to anybody else it makes me look pathetic, and like i can't even earn myself a living. in other words, i'm just really scared of what others think of me." she confessed. "anyway give me a second to change and i'll be out. i mean you can make yourself at home but we won't be here long. she made her way into her room, leaving harper alone in her small living room. it had a large bookshelf filled with both novels and music books, a medium sized television, a small wooden coffee table and two small sofas. in her room, she got changed into a dark blue bikini, but wore a cover up to wear until they got to the beach. the cover up itself wasn't revealing at all.
