If one was to get into mystery dungeon, where should one start?

I'd recommend Sky. Most people agree that it's the best one and Gates to Infinity was pretty bad, honestly. Super is nice, but nothing beats the story and emotion packed into Time/Darkness/Sky. It's the only game that ever brought me close to crying, the music is wonderful and you come to love even the smallest additional character.
My opinion may be biased since it's the one I started with when I was around ten and I feel connected to it but trust me, you will not regret it one bit.

Finally finished breeding Gibles. I'm trying to decide which one to keep, and I'm stuck between two. I have:
a) a female Gible with "Best" stats in every category and a Jolly nature
or
b) a male Gible with "Best" stats in every category except Special Attack and a Jolly nature

I was wanting a male Gible, which is why I'm stuck between the two

a quick google search and it states; Pokerus is a very useful and VERY rare virus in the Pokemon world. It's rare to get it in the wild, but it's easy to come by now that online trading is so easily accessible. This virus will allow Pokemon to gain Effort Values twice as fast as usual

and effort values or EV for short are; They determine what stats your Pokémon gets upon levelling up and are gained from battling any Pokémon you come across that award Experience points

Time and Darkness has some pokemon you can't recruit in the other one (ex: Celebi in Time and Mewtwo in Darkness) while Sky has all of the Pokemon plus a few extra dungeons, the ost in-game from the menu, special "episodes", more information, and more pokemon you can start with

Nice! I have a Blue rescue team cartridge, 2 copies of Explorers of Sky, and Super. I got rid of Gates to Infinity awhile ago though. I LOVE Mystery Dungeon, it's basically my childhood <3
