Altavia chuckled a bit about proving their worth. It seemed like that was the mindset of most students here, even she lost herself in the elusive competition to impress. What made her tense in curiosity again was when Nicholas told her if he was going to see if anything was off limits. Again the strange aura appeared around him and she remembered she hardly even knew him. A dark thought shadowed her bright eyes as she recalled the strange note, given to her by a shadow of a woman with no details to spare. They know she's in Winterhold. Nicholas might be one of her enemies, despite how much she didn't want to believe it was true. The strangeness of both the woman messenger and the mage she stood before now were similar. She'd have to be careful.
"Oh, yes. They're probably very eager to know what's happened. I'll be back in quarters before nightfall if I see you then, though." Altavia gave a nod as farewell and turned to ask Tolfdir a few questions before leaving. She decided not to point out any specific places she would go to Nicholas, just to be on the safe side. upon walking up to the older mage, she sputtered a quiet greeting. He familiarized himself with her immediately as the girl skilled with the ward, but she went straight to the point.

"Thank you, I actually have a few questions about the students here..." She said, and he gladly informed her of the ones who showed up to the lecture first. Altavia requested more details on the more advanced mages.
"Ah yes, now they reside in the Hall of Countenance. Colette is one of our best who specialize in restoration. I'm sure you know of Farad, our Gatekeeper, but she also holds a talent for Destruction spells..." As he went through the list she already knew that there was no Celenr. He would've been staying in those quarters. She would've seen him with the other mages. Unless he had something else on his calendar. Altavia water for him to finish before suggesting her brother.
"Has a mage by the name of Celenr visit by any chance? My brother."
"Ah, now that you bring it up I do believe he was here a while ago. I wondered why you're features looked familiar. He was a very good mage, handled himself very well. We offered him a place here but he declined."
      "Declined? Where'd he go?"
"He wouldn't say, but i'm sure someone else could tell you. Maybe Drevis, whom he was more aquatinted with."

The girl didn't feel like dragging the conversation any further. He wasn't here. But he was. Her brother was here, and he was alive. There must be something she could go off of, Celenr doesn't just vanish. He was never good at cleaning up his messes. There could be evidence left behind.
Before she knew it she was jogging out of the hall of elements straight into the winter storms, haphazardly traversing the crumbling bridge and into the town. Where would Hanzar and Mika be? the girl slowed to a walk and thought for a moment, thinking they might have done some shopping but as always they would most likely end up back in the inn. This one was full of grumpy words, all too hardened by the weather and their derision of the college to give Altavia a second glance. It was nothing like the incident in Solitude. She wandered around for a moment before asking a waitress to tell anyone by the names of Mika or Hanzar that she's come to see them. Then she sat down and waited for what she hoped wouldn't be long.

Conavin Brueric
Male Breton
19 years old
Location: Riften
With: Raavi

Conavin began to howl with laughter at Raavi's statement as tears filled up his eyes. He doubled over as countless scenarios ran through his mind. He finally began to run out of air so he stopped laughing, although he still had a large smile on his face. "In the name of the gods I was about to pass out!" he said, wiping away some tears. "Anyway, didn't we have something to do?"

Nicholas Storm - Male - 31 - Breton - College of Winterhold - Tagged: Altavia
Nicholas nodded, seeing his assumption was correct. His comment about off-limit magics seemed to unnerve Altavia however, for her tone grew cautious when she spoke. The mage should have expected that; if he's investigating the forbidden magics, he must be planning something. Of course, that was far from the truth, unless it happened to be illegal and he'd just be stuck with nothing but a skull filled with necromancy magic and no place to use it. The Breton bid Altavia a quick farewell, since she needed to speak to her companions before retiring for the night. Before doing anything, Nicholas stepped briefly outside, fell to his knees, and cried, "I'm officially a mage!" to the heavens. Several other mages gave him a strange, bewildered look as he made a scene, including the Thalmor wizard, who gave the dark haired Breton an indignant look before turning his nose up at him. Nicholas honestly didn't care; he'd always wanted to do that. Regaining his composure, he dusted powdery snow off is dark trousers and headed back into the Hall of the Elements. Altavia spoke with Tolfdir, asking about the other mages. One name stood out to Nick: Phinis Gestor, the College's most skilled conjurer. He felt a little bad for overhearing, since he'd heard something about a relative of Altavia's as well, but there was doubt this Phinis character carried the answers Nicholas sought, and to find a mage one must ask the librarian. At least, that made the most sense.

Nicholas soon discovered the Archaneum, the section of the College home to a near complete seletion of research materials, thousands of books kept mostly intact since, what, the 2nd Era? Nick couldn't remember the exact details. The Archaneum was also home to Urag gro-Shub, an Orismer who ran the library and kept it all tidy and running smoothly. And one who took his job quite seriously, as Orcs do. "Are you the bookkeep?" He asked, not expecting the answer he recieved. "Yes, may I help you?" The Orc sounded exasperated. He must get that question often. "Really? Just expected... You know what? Never mind, moving on. Do you have any books on Conjuration?" Urag set the book he held to the side. "There is an entire section dedicated to Conjuration. Be more specific." It became clear to the Breton that the Orismer had neither patience nor the time to deal with a bumbling mage. Nick cleared his throat. "Something on Atronachs, preferably." Though Nicholas fancied himself a very powerful necromancer, he was rubbish at most other forms of conjuration. He could scarcely hold a familiar together, much less summon an atronach. Urag brought Nicholas three or four books on the matter, which the Breton accepted graciously. "Now, I don't want to see you treat any of these books poorly, understand?" Nick nodded shortly and thanked him, moving to one of the tables in the center and taking a seat in the cushioned chair to the side. The Oblivion Crisis was the book on top, and the one Nicholas began reading first. It didn't long for him to become immersed. As terrible as the Oblivion Crisis was, he found it fascinating.

"A conjurer, are you?" A voice made him jump. Nicholas tore himself away from the pages to look eye to eye with a fellow Breton. There are a lot of Bretons here. He thought, his tongue twisting on his words slightly before he managed to address the other mage. "Er, yes. You wouldn't happen to be Phinis Geston, would you? I have a couple questions about the school. Of magic, not the College." Nick quickly clarified. The other mage's expression hardened subtly. "Make sure it is just a couple. I haven't got all day to spend speaking to apprentices like yourself. There are very few places where one can practice my expertise outside the school." Nicholas knew that quite well, which is why he tended to avoid practicing around people. "I understand. Are there any realms of Conjuration the College forbids? Certain spells and the like?" Phinis shook his head. "So long as you aren't intentionally harming a student or staff member, or a few other special cases we do not speak about, all kinds of Conjuration are welcomed on school grounds. This includes necromancy, which may surprise you." It did surprise Nicholas, but it was a good surprise. "Necromancy is to be used as a research tool just like every other kind of magic, though the rest of Skyrim doesn't... agree, with the College's views on the matter." He finished. "Is that everything?" Nick nodded briefly, his question having been thoroughly answered. "Good. Be seeing you, apprentice." Phinis didn't lie about spending very little time with apprentices.

Raavi Kinair/ Khajiit/ Nightingale/ Mood: Losing it/ Female/ 22/ Tags; Conavin.

Raavi buried her head in her lurched over torso, wheezing. Hyperventilating, she tried to regain her senses. "What? Oh, oh yeah." she chortled. She had no idea how much the thieves in the other room had heard about, but she wouldn't doubt it if they had heard a lot. The two were laughing pretty loudly, after all. "I think Vex knows a few things about the GoldenGlow Estate mission. We should see if she can give us any tips." Raavi stated, attempting to straight herself back up to her confident, normal posture. Her stomach felt really weak from laughing so much, but Kinair believed that it wouldn't be too hard if she tried. Hopefully, me and Conavin won't get too many strange looks from the other guild members. Hopefully, our laughing didn't sound like we were getting murdered, or something. Raavi thought.

Hanzar shrugged. "For the most part." He said calmly before he looked down to her and gently placed his hand on hers and she began to untie his shoes. "I can do it Mika." The male said with a soft smile before he kicked off his shoes. Hanzar took off his armor and laid it down on the ground. The only thing he wore was a casual white shirt with a pair of pants. He laid down and allowed his hand to rest on his torso as he looked up to the ceiling. So many things were running through his head but he knew Mika wasn't ready for his whole life story. A small sigh escaped his mouth. "My shoulder and back are fine dear. How are you feeling?" He asked sincerely.

Mika paused as he placed his hand on hers to halt them frowning as he kicked off his own shoes. She looked up at him as she rose watching him settle on the bed. After a pause she went to removing her own clothes well all except what she wore for bed. She noted he had sighed again before asking his question. She touched her stomach carefully only wincing a little. She shouldn't of been wincing at all if the medicine could heal Hanzar, and Altavia's wounds so much. She frowned at that, but then let the worry go. She wasn't a fighter like the other two so probably wasn't use to wounds like they were. After all she had always managed to get out of a fight in her life before taking on any real damage. "I am healed, but my wounds were nothing like yours. I am glad your healed love, but you should at least let me cater to you a little." She teased lightly. She really wanted to uplift his spirits so after a moment she settled on the bed beside him. Amber eyes upon his own she raised a brow at him. "For a man who looks to good to be true you sure seem sad. Want to discuss it or need me to get you something? How about we start on my training?"

The argonian listened to Mika without looking to her before she asked him another question. He took a sharp intake of breathe before sitting up to face the feline. His eyes were clouded with thoughts as he thought for a moment. The males eyes shifted again and seemed to grow intese with pain, confusion, worry.. Hanzar sighed but merely shook his head before gently placing his hand on hers. "Let's start your training." He said as calmly as he could before he stood up and and offered her his hand. "We shall teach you the basic's. Stand there." Hanzar said as she pointed to the open area that was close to the entrance of the room.

She frowned at his expression noting the fleeting emotions that ran over it, but kept her mouth shut. He wasn't ready, and she wouldn't push just yet. He would talk when he was ready to talk. She gave a sharp nod scooting off the bed to stride were he asked. Her back now to the door she rolled her shoulders then bounced on her feet a bit. She was a novice at fighting, but she did know a little bit. Next she crouched eyes digging into his as she waited for his first instruction or advance. She didn't know what type of trainer he was going to be. She also didn't expect him to go easy on her because of their relationship, in fact, he might be harsher. Her ear swiveled back a bit as she realized the biggest issue was she didn't want to hit him. That wouldn't do, and she knew it. Focus. Focus Mika. Her tail slowly swayed behind her like a dancing snake.

Skyrim RP \\ Post 111 \\ Hanzar ~ Winterhold

Hanzar watched as she moved from the bed to the place on the floor where he told her to stand. He watched her intently as she readied herself and hyped herself up. A small grin peeked at the corner of his mouth and he readied himself as well. "Stratle your legs about two feet apart from each other. Make sure your dominant leg is the one that's in front." The argaonin followed his own steps and he placed his right leg not far from his back leg and he placed his arms in the air in front of his face as if to protect it. "I'm going to teach you the simple basics of fist fighting, no weapons." He said calmly. "Place your arms in front of you like I am. This is to protect your face. If you're going to get hit, you would rather have bruised arms rather then a broke nose or black eye." Hanzar said with a slight chuckle. "If your going to be the one to throw the first punch, use your back leg to propel your weight forward and focus all of your moment with your dominant arm to throw a quick and powerful punch. You're either going to aim for their ribs or the side of their face; whichever would seem best at that moment in time." Hanzar spoke calmly as he kept his arms in the air like he demonstrated. "Swing at me Mika." He said and the grin on his face was very visible.

Mika's gaze grew troubled as she realized Hanzar was smirking. O crud. She felt her mouth go dry as she did as he instructed. Her stance shoulder length apart, and arms raised she let out a breath. Until he spoke telling her to swing at him. Her eyes widened, and her arms started to lower. She wasn't ready... She couldn't hit her mate! She felt her stomach drop as she went to bite her lip. What if it wasn't Hanzar? A small little voice whispered in her head. What if it was the man that took Hanzar? Hm? How are you going to protect him if you can't even train? Suddenly her eyes hardened, and her arms raised again. Pulling back her lips to reveal her canines she swung pivoting her hips to throw her weight into it aiming for his ribs. He was taller then her so that was a better target plus he was blocking his head. Ribs was an opening she had. Her strike was quick, and maybe if it hadn't been Hanzar she would of hit. As it was she knew she wouldn't actually get the hit. She probably wouldn't even see him move.

Hanzar watched and waited intently. He saw her begin to pull back her arm and he watched her hips pivot. The male grinned, quickly side stepping Mika and connected his palm to between her shoulderblades; falling to the ground. The argonain grinned and adjusted himself once again as he faced Mika. "Try not to think so hard about this dear, your attacks are slow and predictable. Try testing different types of swings, maybe use your less dominant hand. Try to get me on the ground, or at least make a connection." His voice was calm as he watched her. "Be unpredictable Mika, and don't doubt yourself." Hanzar said with a smile.
