harper was one of the first to get out of his seat, and out the door, wanting to avoid the wave of students that followed. he felt relieved it was finally lunch, and that he had an hour and half to do his own thing. he didn't feel too hungry for a normal lunch, so just walked over to starbucks. he was grateful for the small line, and walked right up. "hey, could i just get a frappuccino?" he asked the girl working at the counter.

brooklyn watched as the line of customers grew shorter. she was relieved with how small it had gotten considering how long it was when she first arrived at work a few hours prior. now there were only a couple of people in the line, so it wouldn't take long to get through them. as the next customer approached, she looked up at him with her brown eyes. "of course. give me a second." she turned around for a few moments as she prepared the drink. after she had finished, she returned to him, placing the drink on the counter so he could collect it. "That'll £2.50 please." she said with a smile. she didn't want him to leave. he seemed different to everyone else, and it made her want to talk to him more. brooklyn's head turned to check the clock on the wall behind her. her shift would be over in half an hour, and then she'd have to go to her college class. she found it a tad stressful having to cope with both college and a job at the same time, but she needed the money, no matter the cost.

harper smiled at her, and took the drink. "thanks. hey, i swear i've seen you before. can i ask your name?" he asked curiously, taking a sip of his coffee. it surprisingly wasn't too hot, and it felt nice on his tongue. she seemed oddly familiar, and he wondered if she was in any of his classes. he suddenly became nervous about his hair, and ran his hand over it once.

"oh me? my names brooklyn, brooklyn clarice. i usually go by brook though." she answered, a genuine smile om her face. "i go to the local college." she explained. "perhaps you've seen me around there? now that i think about it you seem a tad familiar too." as she continued to speak to him, she slowly began to forget about the que behind him which was slowpy building up.

"the one just around the block? that's great, i go there! you don't happen to have science on tuesdays?" he asked her curiously, his eyes sparkling with interest. a vague memory hit him where he bumped into her on the way to class, and he said a brief apology before hurrying away.

wow when you see a typo in your roleplay from 5 months ago and you have a really bad urge to fix it :^)

"mhmm!" brook nods, recalling the class perfectly. "i sit in the back row since i''ve got the social skills of a dead rat." she replied, laughing a little bit. her head suddenly jolted up as her boss called her named. "you better get your head in the game. i don't pay 'ye to stand around doing nothing.' he snapped. feeling flustered, her face went red as she looked at the long line of angry customers infront of her. she bit her bottom lip before turning to face her co-worker alex. "alex could you cover for me?" she asked, and smiled when he agreed. "come on, we should finda table before my boss gets any more mad.

harper froze as brooklyn's boss snapped at her, and he jerked his head around to see the long line of irritated customers waiting. "works with me." he chuckled, grabbing his coffee quickly. he hurried away from the counter, and settle down into a comfortable seat next to a window. he patted chair across from him to signal for her to come sit.

now that brooklyn was away, she noticed how the line was going down a lot than it was when she was at the couter. she put the green apron she had to wear up on a peg which was nailed onto the wall, before following after harper. she sat down with him at a table. "sorry about that. you could probably tell but my boss doesn't exactly like me.
