do you ever buy characters because the base/lineart is really high quality but the design isn't?
Really often, actually. I wish that wasn't something that I did. I also tend to snag designs just because of the creator. Like I'll be really excited to see a quardie design or a C-Chimera design and go to offer on it before sitting back and realizing that I'm not into the design itself, just into the hype of how great the creator is. Or sometimes I'll buy a pre-owned/used OC that already comes with a lot of art and I'll see the extra art and be like woooo high quality and buy it, only to sit back and be like "why did I do that again?"



I recently got my first Ellemarine, which I'm really excited about ;v; I love how big he is, omg. The long body reminds me of Lady Rainicorn from Adventure Time, haha.

Lines by M00N and designs + edits by me; really love the palette on this one... couldn't resist ;v; The last thing I needed was another cutesy character, though, oops.

My character hoarding side is starting to show again. I currently have a stash of 12 characters that I have no idea what to do with, yet. I recently went through all of my old posts and rediscovered a lot of old characters I got from my Created pets/Colored in adopt-everything-in-sight phase, haha. Found 3 that I actually still really like, so I might revamp them and see where to go from there ;_;
Also had 2 old characters recently returned to me, so I'm trying to decide if I should revamp them, keep them, etc.
The others are either ones that I have emotional attachment but no development connection to, or I just really like their design but don't know what to do with it, haha. ~frustration~

I did get some really cool art of my unnamed character by boxxfish @ DA though!

Ahh, sorry for posting so soon, but one of my absolute favorite artists/designers put up a Pay-to-Use lineart for only 100 points! I have the 100 points, but I do not possess the skills or drawing program to color the lines in for myself.

Would anyone be interested in coloring some of my characters into the lineart for me? I would send you the 100 points to purchase the lineart, and you would do some color-ins for me. As payment, you obviously receive endless personal use of the lines, which you can use for customs, adoptables, personal color-ins, and what have you! If you're interested, I can throw some C$ or something into the mix as well.

Please PM me if you're interested and let me know how many color-ins you'd be willing to do and whether or not you can do edits (you don't need to be able to do edits; I'd just like to know for when I pick my characters!)

Hey guys, I'm holding an art competition here! I would really like to get more entries, and currently it ends mid-March, but I'll probably be extending that to far later. There are all kinds of characters for all skill levels and abilities, so I would really enjoy it if you check it out. ♥ If you are a main winner you will get 200 pets minimum!
