Ooo, hard. I'm bad with favourites. They're all so awesome, but to list some of my favourites: females. McGonagal, Luna, Hermione, Lily. Males, the Marauders (even Peter. Before...), Neville, Newt.

To answer my own question, while staying in under case letters, the events of the last book do not make up for the years of bully he showed Harry and his friends while they studied under him. Neville's greatest fear was Snape. Nuf said.

What's your opinion on Snape?
yesterday, bored and scrolling through hp things, i saw a very good point:
if neville had been the chosen one instead, snape still would've been a death eater.

Favorite characters


For female id have to say Luna or Tonks. Linda's weird and she walks around barefoot but somehow she still has loyal friends. And Tonks, well she rocks the purple hair and somehow managed to be kind and funny and still bada**.



For male, I've always loved Sirius. I don't really know why, but ever since I read the books he's just been someone I wish I knew. I will admit I had several nightmares when he died. I also really love newt. Hes awkward and likes animals better than humans and somehow manages to be likable. I guess it gives me hope.(:

i found harry potter and the cursed child in
a local library which is great! i can finally read it~
i also really want to read fantastic beasts but all i can
find are directors cuts and i want to read the actual story -.-
I'm hoping i can watch the movie online or something too

What's your opinion on Snape?
im not really sure. I have mixed feelings
there's one side where he's risking his life
by spying on voldi, and like low-key saving
harry.
but then there's another side where he
mistreats harry and his friends at school
making his life miserable.
its also kind of weird how snape had
feelings for lily - imagine snape as harry's
potential father o.o even tho snape is willing
to risk his life for lily and protecting her son
and what not, but i'd see him as friends and
would prefer james. i just wish i could see the
story behind how they come together. that would
actually be a great 9th book...

What's your opinion on Snape?

I'm honestly not one hundred percent sure.
I like him, but I don't think all of his actions
were in any way justified. He tried to make
Harry's school life even more difficult than it
was. I think the reason he did that was because
Harry was the outcome of something he wanted
but never had. Harry was the outcome of the
woman he loved since childhood and the man
who mercilessly tormented him during his years
at Hogwarts.

Although, I do respect him for what he did with
Voldemort. He was really adouble agent of sorts,
and I think that was a really admirable thing to do -
he risked his life for Harry, even though Harry
represented the love he could never - and would
never have. He was, although maybe not visible,
loyal to Dumbledore. Dumbledore was right to
believe that Snape was not aligned with the Death
Eaters; he was right to not question Snape's decisions
because he believed Snape would not betray him,
and he was right. Snape was loyal.


tl;dr -

Snape's actions of mistreating the trio
aren't justified, but I respect him for
risking his life to spy on Voldemort and
potentially save the boy who represents
the love he never had. He was loyal to
Dumbledore, and although he did quite
a few questionable things, he also did
quite a few respectable and admirable
things as well. I don't think we should
be so quick to judge him guilty.

What's your opinion on Snape?

If Snape hated anyone, it wasn't Harry, it was Neville. He probably thinks that if Voldemort had tried to kill Neville instead of Harry, that Lily would still be alive. If that had happened, I think he would have a relationship with Harry like an estranged uncle, he loves him, but doesn't see him often enough and doesn't tell him when he does see him. Snape could never hate Lily's child, he even expresses his anger when he realizes the Harry needs to die in order to kill Voldemort.

@ȶrinpin, isn't Rolf a Scamander? Not sure of the last name changed with his parents, but I know he's Newt's grandson.

@Nyabby, interesting take, I hadn't thought of that before. But if Voldemort had attacked Neville's family, then wouldn't Snape still be a Death Eater? I think - could be wrong - that he only came to Dumbledore after Lily's death. Also, did he even know about the prophesy? (I can't remember exactly...)
