Channary leapt off the slanted brick roof. Her ankles sliding off the shingles as she landing softly. With a grunt, she heaved herself onto the stand of a old shop post, its walls now collapsed as she scavanged through the remaining ruins.

Magdalena heard a noise from a few streets away. She frowned, then walked towards the noise. There she saw a girl about her age scavenging through a collapsed building. Did she use to know her. There was no way Magdalena would be able to tell. Silently she walked closer until she was standing not far. She waited for the girl to recognize her.
