step 1: draw a circle, i used the pencil tool on size 2 and added 57% smoothing

step 2: draw a squiggly line, make sure both ends connect to the circle

step 3: draw more squigglys! but make it a bit rough, looks natural (all the way up to the last row)

step 4: close the gaps, draw petals around the edges to give it a round and even but still make it look a bit lumpy

step 5: add details (only if you have room!), makes it look more real, draw a swirly in the circle and small lines on the petals

step 6: color, just color in the lines with a medium shade or red (or whatever color you want)

step 7: shade, use Alpha lock! easy, use the air brush to color, color a dark red around the inside of the petals and bright red on the outside, you can also use your pencil tool on


and there you go! easy rose!
