Saberfoot watched the fluffy warrior with interest. He may be an idiot at times, but he could read cats like... like... like something that involves reading [I'm a cat. Cats don't read.]. She was his friend and partner, but she had her own problems, like the rest of them. Her face made it obvious. All their faces made it obvious. The clan was broken [hence the name], but they couldn't stay there and they didn't. They strove for a better time, banding together all their hopes and dreams that had been crushed previously. They would make it. He was sure of that, as sure as he was of his small and PETITE rear end.
[I swear Starclan enjoys my pain.] The large tom glared up at Lostcreek through narrowed eyes. Typically, an angered cat, especially one as massive as Saberfoot, would be intimidating to say the least. However, Saberfoot was not a typical massive cat. He was fluffy, cuddly, and wouldn't be able to hold a staring contest with a mouse for fear of offending it. Angering him was about as bad as falling into the river at sunhigh in the middle of greenleaf [when it was warm]. It could be mildly bothersome, but was generally harmless. Even if he knew this [and his clan knew this], it wouldn't stop him from trying his best to strike terror into those who dared cross his path [They wouldn't stand a chance. he thinks while mentally puffing up his chest].
To top it all off, Lostcreek interrupted their [his and Willowfeather's] conversation right at the good part: His plan. He didn't want to brag, but this plan would be the best as of yet. So why did Starclan think it a good idea to spoil his fun?
The tom pouted with the thought, still on his back and still upset [as upset as a ball of fluff could get]. Reluctantly, he got to his paws and looked down at Willowfeather solemnly, "We can talk when we get back..." He trailed off while slowly turning around and walking towards Falconstar, tail dragging through the dust.
Halfway there, he froze with a thought, There might be other cats out there! Immediately after, his ears perked up and he joyfully bounded the rest of the way to his leader. It wasn't that he enjoyed finding rogues or loners [whatever they might be], but seeing anyone other than his clan mates would be a welcome change in pace. If there were other cats out there, then they weren't alone. And Saberfoot hated being alone.

Falconstar walked to meet Saberfoot halfway.
"Saberfoot, it's nice to see that you're already wide awake. I still can't understand how you're so hyper in the morning," he purred in amusement before starting to discuss the border patrol.
"Anyway, Lostcreek probably told you that I was interested in having a border patrol set out. I figured that we don't need many cats, probably only three or four. Me, you, and who else would you want to go? I was considering taking Bearpaw," Falconstar told him while at the same time scanning the clearing to see if he could spot his apprentice anywhere.

Willowfeather turned quickly startled at the suddenness of Lostcreek coming since Saberfoot and his fluffy rear end, or maybe that was his face? was going to tell her the plan of annoying Lostcreek. Unfortunately all got interrupted when Lostcreek came saying that they must go on different patrols and something else, Willowfeather started to zone out a little. But, she quickly reeled herself back in just in time. 'Just had to ruin all the fun didn't you Lostcreek.' The she-cat thought disappointing she couldn't hear the plan knowing that it was going to bug her until they all got back front he patrols and Saberfoot told her. Most of the time she didn't mind Lostcreek too much although on occasion she thought the other female was a little too bossy but, it could always just be that Lostcreek was deputy and has to be. Willowfeather turned away from Lostcreek and reached her paw out with claws sheathed and hit his head gently a couple times. "Don't forget the plan now..." She whispered so Lostcreek couldn't hear. Willowfeather watched him go for a little bit before she turned to Lostcreek and smiled when she heard that they were leaving soon. "Very well, I'm ready at any time, I'll go wait by the entrance." The molly responded curteous. Or so she tried. Then Willowfeather walked over to the entrance of camp to sit and wait for the others to join her so they could go. Willowfeather licked down a patch of fur that was sticking up obnoxiously and licked her paw swiping at her ear.

"Ah yes Frost, look who finally managed to catch some prey." Shade meowed, not trying to burst his sister's bubble. After a moment he lowered his head and took a bite out of his fish. "You can eat the bird, it's bigger." Though Shade hated the taste of fish, hated the taste of anything in water, hated any thing wet, he wanted his sister to feel accomplished from her catch. It would probably be the best thing either them would eat for a while. The black tom thought back to his mother. That startled Shade, normally he didn't like thinking of clans, in fact, that could definitely go on the list of things he dispised. So why was he thinking if her now? She was a beautiful cat. Straight long, white fur, with a nice soothing voice saying: "Everything's going to be okay."
But everything's not okay! But surely they had come this far to survive, there must have been a reason they were thrown from the clan like foxes, then managed as kits to survive together till adulthood. Surely, surely, something was coming for them, something better than this. With a quick grin to himself he bit into the fish once more, and had to grit his teeth and swallow with a pang of disgust.

Frost opened her mouth to protest when Shade gave her the larger kill, but then closed it again. As much as she disliked watching Shade cringe as he choked down his fish, she was hungry. The molly started to eat the bird. She watched Shade as they both ate. Frost had spent her entire life with no other cat but this tom. She knew him well and could tell he was thinking about something. The molly tilted her head curiously. "What are you thinking?" She questioned.

"Speech." / Thoughts.

Leopardfrost trotted her way through the snow and into camp, she scrambled to sit by a tree and soon curled her tail around her paws. It seemed liked she missed a patrol calling. Good for me, I didn't want to go anyways. She thought with a slight huff. Sure isn't getting any warmer, is it? She frowned. I wouldn't be surprised if icicles started hanging off of my nose. There was no point for her to leave camp again since she did just get back after all. Waiting didn't bother her anyways, it gave her time to think.

Bearpaw smiled as Rainpaw talked. He was sure she was. Not just anyone survived through this crazy winter and Rainpaw had to be pretty tough to make it as far as she had. Bearpaw flicked his ears as she bounded away he had kinda been staring at her and had missed most of her last sentence. Bearpaw bounced up after her and tried to tell himself to get control of himself. It was hard to admit to even himself but he was pretty head over paws crushing on her. You disgust me. He thought at himself. Bearpaw heard Lostcreek's instructions just as he got there. "Come on let's go ask Falconstar. If he says its okay your mentor definitely isn't going to argue." Bearpaw spotted his mentor talking to Saborfoot and his tail flicked behind him. Bearpaw walked up to Falconstar intentionally ignoring Saborfoot's presence. "Can Rainpaw and I come with you? She wants to stretch her legs a bit." Bearpaw asked glancing at Riverpaw quickly when he said he name then looking back up at his mentor a hopeful look on his face.

ooc;; LET'S DO THIS THING!! also i forgot what the clan gathering things they have every moon where all the clans meet are called [sorry for my awkward grammar doing calculus right now], so please bare with me ^^. another thing [so much going on, lol], how many people are actually active? i'll suggest some cats, but if they're not active just let me know. [btw i don't think this clan actually has a medicine cat, besides rainpaw...]

Saberfoot was excited. Not just excited, but excited. He may not be good at hunting during the day, but boarder patrols were something he could do. His size was intimidating [he could admit that] and he loved to use that to his advantage [even he was weaker than a kit born during leaf-bare]. [I may be weak, but at least I'm swift. he turns his nose up defiantly.]
Meeting new cats was also something he loved doing. He constantly thought back to the clan gatherings when everything was relatively ok. Relatively, because tensions were far too high to be considered "ok". For him it was normal though so "ok" was an ok term [lol puns ><]. Ever since the dark frost he had felt lonely. It was difficult for a cat like him to go from being friends with all the clans to killing some of the cats he knew. Don't get him wrong: he had zero regrets and would gladly do it all over again had he the chance, but he missed seeing new faces [not faces that intended to kill him, but new faces nonetheless].
The tom nodded at Willowfeather absentmindedly, the plan already gone from his mind [darn that short attention span]. It didn't matter. He'd come up with something on the patrol [annoying Lostcreek was never that far from his thoughts]. Saberfoot found he thoroughly enjoyed ticking off the cats in Brokenclan. They weren't as stiff as Thunderclan and could laugh off embarassment instead of punishing him. He was convinced it was because of his unending charm, but subconsiously he knew it made everything seem ok even when it wasn't.
Nothing was ok. They had lost cats. Lost friends. Lost family. Lives had lost meaning. And innocence was no longer a word. They tried to hold on to what had left them, but the tighter they grabbed the more painful it was when they realised it wasn't coming back. To try to combat some of that, they bounded together. It wasn't super effective, but survival was a must and that was where he came in.
After all, you can't survive while thinking you want to die.
Saberfoot was pulled out of his thoughts when Falconstar addressed him. The massive tom gave the younger a lopsided smile and turned his head to the side making his ears flop with it. This was his purpose: to help them enjoy what they had rather than miss what they lost. "How can you not be hyper?" he questioned excitedly. "We're alive!" and alive they were. Struggling with their inner demons, but alive and together and that's what mattered. "I think we should ask Leopardfrost!" he paused remembering the flirting apprentices before adding, "How about just us three go on the patrol and leave the apprentices to get some quality hunting time together? Plus Bearpaw is pretty good at hunting." he tacked on a compliment towards Bearpaw at the end, feeling he owed the apprentice for the rude awakening. Saberfoot was annoying not cruel [We're even Bearpaw. Besides, he thought, wouldn't they want time away from their mentors?].
The moment he was finished, the two apprentices walked up to their leader. He says 'leader' because the cold shoulder coming from Bearpaw was just about enough to finish the job where the dark frost couldn't. The massive tom rolled his eyes subtly, the kit needed to loosen up a bit.

Finally, Shade gulped down the last of the fish. His stomach felt as full as it had in many days. "We should get moving." Shade liked to move dens often. Though normally large animals wouldn't attack cats, especially two. Now, during the snow and night, foxes could easily sneak up on him and his sister.

Frost's couldn't help but feel a little annoyed when Shade ignored her question. I guess it really wasn't that important anyways. Frost decided to let it go. Even though her curioisity was left unsatisfied, it wasn't worth making a big deal out of it. The molly felt dread flood through her body when Shade told her they needed to move. Although she'd never let anyone know, Frost hated moving. She secretly was a little envious of the clan cats. They always got to wake up in the same nest every morning with familiar surroundings and comforting smells. Even in this frozen wasteland the clan cats had found a place to stay. Frost didn't have that luxury. She'd never had that luxury. It was essential to her and Shade's survival that the two move from place to place. But still, Frost imagined what her own permanent nest could be like. A home. A place where I could belong. Permenantly. After thinking for what seemed like an eternity (When in reality it was only mere seconds.), Frost rose to her paws. The white cat's face emotionless, even after thinking so deeply. "Alright, then let's go." Frost said simply.
