Simon didn't sleep that night. Sleep is for those who aren't excited. The long-furred loner was sitting in the middle of the barn, watching the cats around her. Excitement pricked at her pelt. She was gonna be a clan cat! She wondered who her mentor would be. 'Cinderfoot, maybe?' after all, he was the first clan cat she'd met. The little blue she-cat still felt that she owed him something for saving her. Speaking over their encounter from the day before, her pelt still felt raw and scratched from the chain-link fence. Maybe she'd have to tell their cutter about it. Well, if they had a cutter.

Violetpaw grumbled in annoyance as she plucked hay from her pelt. The small ragdoll hardly caught a wink of sleep that night, thanks to the prickly hay and murmurs of excited cats. She got up and padded out of the barn, where other cats were.

Leopard was pigging out on some kittypet food she'd snatched. She didn't care that it wasn't hers. The sleek bengal she-cat had casually passed by a cat with the food, and nonchalantly swiped the pawful from them. Sure, it was a little rude, but if that cat really wanted it, they'd of put up more of a fuss. Leopard wanted to 'establish dominance' over some of the clan cats, too. So, she continued stuffing herself with the kittypet slop until only a few pellets were left.

Thrushfur blinked her eyes open, her golden gaze sweeping over the barn. Why was everything upside down..? Oh, wait, it was just her. The brown she-cat was lodged between two bales of hay, twisted in an odd position that looked uncomfortable. She hissed at a few cats that gave her sideways looks, before bowling over and shaking out her pelt. Sleeping in odd positions certainly didn't do anything good for her already matted fur, but when did Thrushfur ever care about the tangles in her pelt? The grumpy molly trudged across the barn, eventually flopping back over on a warm patch of hay.

Goldenpaw yelped melodramatically as he nipped her neck and rolled back up onto her feet. Shaking her fur clear of the dust and leaves that clung onto her fur during the short brawl, she rolled her eyes and pouted. "Could you not have proved a point another way?" She asked with a sigh, dragging her eyes to the left and staring at him. Taking a moment to establish a pause, Goldenpaw cocked her head, dropping the pout and the attitude as she cocked an eyebrow. "I dunno. The word is could've, after all. That's only one possibility out of several, and if you were an enemy, I'd probably be a lot more cautious." In that moment, for some reason, she felt it was necessary to state the facts. Though the other apprentice was true in the fact he could've killed her, but it was definitely not a one-hundred percent true situation. "I'm not saying I'd win," she stated through a smile, pausing to turn and face him. "But I'd win." Sticking out her tongue and sending him a gaping grin, she swept her tail to touch his forepaws almost teasingly. "Brains over brawn, after all."

Cinderfoot woke up earlier than most, just before the crack of dawn. Currently, he was sulking near the corner of the barn, but earlier, he had jumped up excitedly, searching around for Constance once more. This time, however, he found her-- or more so found out what had happened to her. He hadn't known exactly why, still didn't, but apparently the she-cat loner had left overnight, or something of the sort. Perhaps it was the commitment that scared her, or Boulderstar's announcements, but it still made his paws feel heavy like stones and his ears droop like a flimsy branch. Whatever, he scowled- the fact that such a matter could be dismissed with one word made him feel as if ants were crawling through his pelt- if she was happy, then so was he.

petalkit felt a surge of excitement as she and spottedkit were rapidly herded to the fence where they would leave, hardly listening to her mother as she spoke. the kit could only imagine the forest from the scents filtering from beneath it, but she was determined to explore every single inch of whatever was beyond the wooden pickets.

"speaking of which, we should probably join everyone at the fence." the warrior suggested as she rose to her paws and started across the clearing, tailtip gently catching under noel's chin as she went. she slowed when she neared the fence, turning to see if noel and frostkit would join her.

The sun lapped at Boulderstar’s fur, warming it quickly. This was something that would become rare in the upcoming moons. In only a trio of moons, Leafbare would fall over the earth, blanketing it in a thick sheet of snow he knew no cat wished for. Twigs and crisp leaves crunched under his large paws as he walked around the sanctuary and heading in the direction of the tree he had occupied last night. Once he reached the looming oak, he dove into its branches. Once the tom had reached a suitable place to watch the sanctuary, he called for a meeting. He paused for a second, allowing his cats to gather under him.

“Good morning, everybody.” Boulderstar greeted his clan with a smile that seemed plastered on his graying muzzle. He leapt down to a lower branch so the group of cats had a better view of their leader. “I hope you’re all ready for our escape this morning. We will be leaving shortly, though I would like to address a few things." He informed them, watching as more cats shuffled into the crowd that had formed below the large, sprawling oak. “First of all, I would like all mentors to accompany their apprentices. I would also like one warrior with each queen of the clan. We cannot risk to lose any more cats than already lost. Especially kits, as leafbare looms over us.” He instructed his clan, quickly reminding them of the cats they had lost along the way here and the hardships that would hit them as they traveled. He inhaled deeply and exhaled a cloud of visible breath before continuing on.

“Now, I do believe we have all come to learn the feeding schedule. If I have timed our escape properly, we should have a twenty minute window to escape, give or take. Let the queens and elders go through the fence first as well. Now, I think it’s time we make that escape we’ve been planning. Clan dismissed.” Boulderstar announced and informed his clanmates, though he wasn’t that confident on his time estimate. As he dismissed the cats, he leaped down to the ground and observed as the cats bumbled away towards the designated escape route, which was currently being pointed out by a pair of sanctuary cats he had bribed into doing his work for him.

Simon listened carefully to Boulderstar's speech, tail-tip twitching in excitement. With a loud squeal, the dark blue she-cat bounded towards the fence, waiting for the queens and elders to come through. 'I'm gonna be a real warrior!' she thought, heart pounding. The little loner been traveling for what seemed like moons to get to AmberClan, and now she was finally going to get to join them! She let out a shaky breath before puffing out her chest, determination filling her gaze. 'I've got to be the best warrior i can possibly be,' she thought. 'I can't let my new clanmates down. I'll have to prove myself to them, I need to do something... grand. Maybe I should hunt down a fox? Ooh! Or a badger?' Simon was squirming around again, hardly able to sit still due to her excitement. 'Maybe I could take down an entire enemy clan!' she thought, eyes widening at the prospect. The naive young she-cat didn't know how hard it would be to do any of these things, let alone how dangerous.

Heather followed after her clanmates with a bored stare, looking around as she watched the queens and kits go through the hole in the fence. She called from the inside of the fence. She nodded politely to a pregnant queen as they passed by her.
