i know that you have to pay for food and toys ect... but is it free to foster a kitty into your home for a while until he/she is getting adopted?

A lot of shelter's are desperate for fosters so if you foster from an animal shelter then they will very likely give you the animal for free. After all your helping the cat through behavior or medical problems which means it can't stay in the shelter or helping the shelter free space for animals who need it more so yes it should be free.

Fostering is free.

it will depend on the shelter but they will pay for medical bills and maybe even food.
you can even tell the shelter what you prefer older ,younger ect. (i recomend older cats, they cat sit in shelters for ages cause of there age sadley)

you can expect a vist from shelter staff before you become a fosterer as they need to make sure your home is well fit for fostering.

i need a new signature

GhostYeen wrote://little rant thing

A stray cat I took in a while back got pregnant. Gotta take her to the pound on monday :c It's bad, but I'm actually happy to take her. Whenever I pet her, just after two minutes, she'll growl and try to tear my eyes out. I don't mind me getting hurt, but she also starts to tear my brother's arm to shreds. This was before she got pregnant, too. Tom cats keep on coming up here- I set a trap. My cat stays in my yard. It's their cats coming over here to mess with my cat. I may as well take their cats to the pound, too while I'm at it, since they don't know how to neuter their cat. My cat shouldn't be a problem, because she stays in my yard

All the stray has done is cause financial problems for me as well as my family. Not to mention the fact that she hurt my older cat so bad that he now has a limp and another piece of his ear is torn. I'm sick and tired of dealing with her. I absolutely cannot wait to be rid of her, personally. I know she'll be put down, and it does hurt, but I am not financially able to care for her any more.

Do bare in mind, that the majority of the time expecting animals are taken to the pound they are often terminated. It's a sad, cold fact ... but very real.

Oooh! What breed is your cat! So fluffy uvu

No clue x3 He's just a real cute cat. His mom was our first female cat (that we weren't just fostering) and she got pregnant during her first heat, she had two kittens and we named them "white kitty" and "grey kitty" cause we didn't plan on keeping them, but we kept them both. White Kitty is super social and Grey Kitty has her mom's feral-ness and only comes home once a day.

Ah well both are hard to say! If the yellow bit is hard it could be plastic or something artificial. If it's soft it could be a flower or plant of some sort or a food scrap.

As for what killed her, even if there were no external wounds it could've been tons of things. Could've been some kind of internal trauma/bleeding, she could've eaten or drank something toxic to her, could've been some kind of internal bacterial or viral infection, could've been heartworms or other heavy parasitic infestations. Don't know what area of the world you live in but if the temperatures outside were on the extreme side it could've been hypothermia (too cold) or hyperthermia (too hot).

Aw, your cat is so pretty haha! My two cats do the same thing lol They are both sweethearts but Poe is like my little baby :') He attacks everyone and won't let anyone hold him but me, or my cousin, but whenever I go downstairs I'm greeted with excited meows, purring, and him rubbing his face on my leg. Then, the moment I sit down, he falls asleep on me lol (My house has two floors. The dog rules the top floor and the cats live on the bottom floor. My dog is absolutely terrified of Poe, and Poe purposely goes up to my dog because he knows damn well that my dog is scared to death of him xD)
call me pika - he/him - gay - i like cats, pokemon, and genshin impact

Has anybody ever had to get stitches for a cat scratch? Once I was out trying to get these kittens who were in my yard and this dog managed to get in and went for the kittens who were hiding in a bush, one of them clawed up my hand real bad when I grabbed him and put him inside. Two stitches in the thumb, worth it for two alive kittens  And this is just one story, I've dealt with so many feral cats and just this morning I accidentally stepped on one of my cat's tails (sorry Nacho) and he decided my ankle needed to pay for it. They're like little fluff balls only with knives on their feet.

I've never actually gone in to get stitches, but I am sure I probably could have used them.
My cat right now is still learning the concept of "play" with out using her claws. She is making progress, but I expected it from a pound cat that had little real human contact from a young age.
