They first grew up just like the dinosaurs; first from the water, then on land. As their body grew to adapt with the new environment, some of their parts still stayed. But after a while, these parts grew as a deffence mechanism. For example, when threatened they would open their frills, to try and seem bigger. But if that wouldn't work, they would spit venomous goop from their mouth to singe the attacker, much like acid. Even tho they may seem and look intimidating, their brain is smaller than most creatures, and they are the most closest relative to the dodo bird. With natural selection on this creatures side, the unfortunate lack of arms made it hard for these vegetarians to find fruit in tall trees.

You let out a raptor-like screech. You meep. This is home. You were born here. You we're raised here. You were destined to birth and raise your children her as if an endless cycle. You are home. This lake is home...

Why is this noot at the sea/lake/fjord/etc: Wanderer is extremely old, and so his sight can ail him as well as his hearing. However, he can still feel, smell, and taste. Wanderer used to live by the sea, and so now he has - at least temporarily - returned in order to feel that things are at least somewhat familiar. The memories remind him of his times when he was young, before he was convinced to leave it. The taste of the salty air, the smell of the ocean, and the feeling of the sand under his feet puts him at ease temporarily. Most people say he's crazy, sitting by the sea day after day, and they're waiting for him to leave again. Wanderer either doesn't care or doesn't hear him as he sits on the sand, hoping that perhaps that he'll remember his name if he sits there long enough. Whether or not he'll stay, leave, or die before he can decide is unknown even to him.
