Nightpelt smiled and followed. Once they got to the river he scented the air for any other prey.

"Just out of curiousity, do you have a mate yet?" She whispered, still staring down at the rippling water.

Nightpelt looked at her then the water before answering. He walked over to her and sat next to her, "no I do not got a mate. I don't think any cat likes me that way anyway. Heh" he said softly and saw a fish. He quickly put his paw in the water, his claws out grabbing the fish and flinging it out of the water.

She paused slightly, wondering if this was one of the choices she had to make. "Well... I do like you..." She mumbled, still staring at the water.

Nightpelt looked at her and looked at her face. His smile faint but there, "that means so much to me to hear that. I like you as well."

Her pelt heated up. "Y- you do?" Her expression was shocked as her eyes tore away from the river to look at him.

She jumped away from the river, happily jumping around. She then padded back to the river. "Sorry," She said, clearing her throat.

Nightpelt let out a soft chuckle. "It's alright."
