Sam giggled, but knew this was no time for laughing. she opened the door with a struggle, and saw Nate all beat up, "Nate?!" She said she pulled her pocket knife from her boot, Stupid. I could have used that to pick the lock! Oh well. She caught the ropes, and hugged him she picked him up, she may have been a girl but she had the strength of to men. "Okay, I'll take him to my truck, you keep it here," She said spitting at the man's face and watching him glare, ''and we can turn him into the cops. Okay?'' Sam said taking charge.

Nate felt himself be picked up, he blinked as sunlight streamed into his face, his blue gaze searched for one person only, Jess.

Jess texted her uncle and said to the man " you have the right to reiman silent any thing you say will and can be used aginst you in court of law." she the gun pointed to his head and said " wheres my horse." the man said " I the barn over there ."'Jess whislted and ticket stepped back from his stall and jumped over he whinnied and chip and said " come on!"

Nate looked at Jess, glancing at the man that had done this to him. He winced as he brushed the blonde hair from his face, revealing an ugly black, flecked with red, bump on the side of his face. He settled in the truck, groaning softly now and then.

Jess looked at Sam and said " I know who stole my horse it was mrs. Roth's daughter, Sam " Jess pointed the gun at him and said " Sam take this am going to round up the horses when get the pocile station ask for grandfather whitten and show them this picture " she handed sam the gun and the photo.

Sam was unsure of what the photo was, "Okay. what exactly is the pic?" Sam asked taking the gun and putting it to the mans temple. She stared puzzled at the picture. She looked at jess.

Nate struggled to move into a sitting position, he spotted Chip and let out a long, low, weak sounding whistle. Chip flicked his ears and sprang forward, he raced to his boy and halted, sending sand flying along Sam's truck. "Chip." Nate whispered reaching out to ruffle the gelding's forelock before slumping down again, looking defeated.
