Ash watched Venice open the book, leaning his head on his hand. "I wouldn't expect you to ask a Slytherin for help. We... aren't the favourites among any of the other houses."

Gwen had just come from the Hufflepuff common rooms, she had spent her time studying for History of Magic, one of her favourite subjects, and one she particularly excelled in. The girl hummed to herself as she walked, carrying two books, one for Potions and another for Care for Magical Creatures, which she carried to help her friend, and fellow Hufflepuff, Blossom study. Although there was a slight issue, Gwen was 20 minutes late for the study session and was now doing her best to hurry to the library. On her way, Gwen spotted a familiar face in the hallway, talking to a new girl. Smiling, Gwen made her way over to the conversation. "Hi Blossom, sorry about being so late, I was studying History of Magic- I'm free to study now?" She suggested, then looked between the girls. "I hope I'm not interrupting."

"Oh! Gwen!" Blossom felt her face light up at the sight of her best friend, at least that's how the girl thought of her. "I was starting to get worried!" Blossom hugged her companion tightly before pulling back. "You're not interupting anything." The young girl pulled her gaze to Ali. "I'm sorry. But I really need to go. I have an exam coming up and Gwen helps me study. She's super smart."

Gwen rolled her eyes in a playful manner as she kept an arm around Blossom, and smiled apologetically towards the other girl. "I'm sorry." She said, before turning back to Blossom, and grinning. "You ready to go? I hope you've studied from the last time... That was disastrous." She giggled, waving her hand jokingly at Blossom.

Venice smiled shyly, refusing to look up from her textbook. It was true. Most people weren't keen on slytherins but Venice kind of enjoyed their company.

"I don't mind Slytherins. Too many people mistake ambition for greed. I like ambitious people...I always have. To be honest, I prefer to hang out with you guys." She smiled at the words in her book.

It was true she didn't mind Slytherins, but she always thought Ash was 'cool' per say. She'd seen him in the halls before and knew he was extremely intelligent. Being in Slytherin didn't change that.

"Really...?" Ash asked cautiously. He felt envious of the Ravenclaw. Had he said something similar, and others from his house had heard, he'd be a laughing stock. "Thanks..."
Ash had tried many times to make friends with Ravenclaws. He prefered them a lot more than the majority of his house. Not all of them were bad but the ones that were...

Venice blushed slightly and looked up from her textbook. She smiled.

"I mean I know their not all friendly, but so far since I've been here...I don't know, I just don't think it's fair to stereotype everyone in the house as power hungry or mean." She looked away shyly.

She was sitting at a table, across from an extremely intelligent 5th year talking about stereotypes.

Gwen began to follow Blossom. "The library might be free at this time, so there would be quieter than the common rooms, they are hectic at the minute." She said, walking in the direction of the library.

Allie wandered aimlessly through the corridors on her way to her common room after a session of studying in the library. As she passed the now empty classrooms she heard two people talking, her curiosity got the best of her and she decided to peek in to see who it is, she saw a Slytherin that is in many of her classes, there was also a younger Ravenclaw student with him. She decided to go into the class and talk to them.

''Hey'' she said, and unintentionally scaring the Slytherin. ''Wow, I didn't mean to scare you, sorry''
