so, timmy is getting really.. fat. he's 16 pounds as of saturday, and he's almost 5 months.
i decided to put him on the treadmill, but only for a short while. 5 minutes at the most.
i don't think it hurt him..? he ran on the second lowest speed, which is 2.
he didn't protest, he was just a little freaked out by the moving at first, but i started walking alongside him for a short while, and he was fine.
after he did it, i gave him half of a treat [because i don't want him getting more fat].

I met an eight year old rottie at the shelter and I was sooo tempted to adopt him, but a greyhound is next on my to-adopt list. I'm sure he'll get adopted in no time, he was a sweetheart and a purebred rottweiler.

@maninkari, the pup I saw was six months or so and about 300 dollars for all of her shots and spaying and such. she was a border collie/golden retriever mix so they say but I can't be certain because they suspiciously had multiple puppies all the same age listed as different mixes. pretty sketchy but this puppy just looked so pathetic and I fell in love. I'm sure she'll go to a good home in the mean time though.

saluki are actually a pretty rare breed to my knowledge so it'll probably be hard to find anyone here with one. I'd look into attending a show and talking with handlers/breeders. you could also do some research on sighthounds and check out breed specific forums if there are any.

This is my first time posting, but i got this guy that i am fostering, i have had him for about a month. His name is Clyde (Like the orange Pac-man ghost). He always barks at the door, if you ring the door bell, He is perfectly fine. He hates wood for some reason, when you bang/knock/move it at the least.. Any tips on helping him be better at not barking at wooden objects?
You can see him, and what he is like, here.

I made a little makeshift flirt pole out of a stick, some rope and a chew toy I found in the yard. It was fun for the ten minutes it lasted before the stick broke x3 Also, the whole trio of JJ, Pete and White Kitty are there! White Kitty is bigger than Pete and acts much more like a dog than a cat.
((pretty sure this is allowed since there's no way in hell you'd be able to see my face with that quality))

Kestrel and I went on a group hike yesterday through a local dog group! We ended up meeting someone we've seen around FB before (she regognized Kes lol) and spent the hike with them. After the group hike on the paved trails was over, K and I broke off and took Kes and Miya out onto the dirt trails where we could let them off leash!
Miya and Kes got along really well, and they had a ton of fun! We even let them play around on the playground equipment for awhile and I can't wait to see the pictures K took of Kestrel going down the slide lol.
We are already talking about getting into bikejoring together later this year, and of course doing more hikes and things together! I'm so glad I ended up going! I know Kes loves hiking with other dogs, so I love that I have someone to go out hiking with now! (K is even getting a BC pup in 2018! So Kes will be outnumbered then lol. 3 BCs and a Aussie haha)
