"calm down, robinleaf." thornpelt interjected. "spikepaw was attacked by the killer himself--he's not the one who did this." the tom's green eyes were clouded, hazy with grief, his expression jaded. his voice was not as rasped, and he appeared less sickly now thanks to the young medicine cat's aid, but the loss of his clanmates, of his friends, of sparrowpaw, had left a terrible wound deep within him, one that would never heal. this much was clear in the way that he spoke.

rather suddenly, he looked up, and his gaze fell on the elder, duckbelly, eyes narrowing faintly. "i think duckbelly would know that better than anyone. isn't that so?"

"You should be ashamed of yourself." A hiss from Beetlestar woke
Duckbelly. His eyes widened with fear, "Don't tell me you think
I was the murderer," He murmured, "We don't think you are, we
know you are," Thornpelt hissed, "You killed my denmate and
best friend last night!" Came Robinflight's yowl from the middle
of the crowd. "We have done nothing but care and feed you,
but you go and kill the cats who are keeping you alive," Robinleaf
growled. "We might as well just kill you now," Ratjaw growled.
Duckbelly's eyes glanced desperately around. The only cat who
didn't join in with the cat's calls was Spikepaw who was watching
from a distance, shaking his head before retreating to his den.
"What do you have to say for yourself then?" A low growl reminded
Duckbelly he was still in the prescence of his clanmates, "It wasn't
me." He insisted, glaring defiantly at the cats. "I was born and
raised in this clan and I'm not leaving." The cats all looked at
each other, "I'm sorry, but this is the only way we can do this.
If you won't leave our clan, we will make you," Beetlestar growled,
leaping at the tom with outstretched claws as she was quickly
followed by the rest of her clanmates, attacking Duckbelly as
he lay helpless on the ground. The murderer was dead now, or so
they thought.

The murderer knew where Robinleaf would be, tucked up in his
pathetic little medicine cat nest as usual, not lending a paw to
helping to feed the clan. With a low growl, they twitched their
whiskers and stalked into the medicine cat den. There he was,
asleep in his nest. Knowing where the deathberries were kept
from Hawkstar's kill, the cat stalked into a small hollow behind
the herb store and rolled out a pawful of the berries, eyes glinting
in a bloodthirsty hunger as they reapproached the sleeping tom.
Letting out a low growl, the killer rolled Robinleaf over and slipped
their paw onto his throat, pressing down, "Open up," They spat,
Watching Robinleaf's eyes open sleepily before widening in a
crazed panic as he came to the realisation that he was the next
victim of the notorius murderer. Kicking out, Robinleaf let out a
hiss, unsheathing his claws and scratching at the murderer. The
cat snarled, shoving their paw down harder on his throat before
grabbing his jaw and thrusting it open forcefully. "You don't belong
here," They growled, shoving the deathberries down his throat
forcefully before waiting until his eyes glazed over.
