If you need to make more than one topic for your adoptables, you can put the extra topics in here. Please read stickies for more information

Hi, Oddly! Long time no see -- so glad to have you back again! ^^ I can't remember exactly all of the changes we've made, but I mentioned this a little while back to landofmakebelieve the following information so hopefully it helps you out a bit too cx
SydneyandStorm wrote:Here are the things I can remember off the top of my head:
-Mares now have breeding success rates that determine whether or not a breeding will be successful right away or after several tries
-Stallions now have discipline breeding bonuses that they receive after winning first place in a competition of a particular discipline
-RVEC has an advertising thread again
-Horses now age one year every time they're trained, so none of your horses will have aged at all in your absence c:
-We are in the middle of our Around The World event so that we can get a few more horse breeds into RVEC ^^
And... I know I'm leaving stuff out here, but that's all I can remember! If anyone else can think of anything, please chime in!
And, of course, now we have ultrasounds and straws for breedings, as well as two different ways to order a breeding (multiple tries or one at a time) c: Please let me know if you have any other questions -- I'll be happy to explain any new features! ^^ Other than that, it's just been a lot of competing and adoptions!

i just thought of an idea. if people aren't going to be active, and leave their horses in the dust, if this is a realistic those horses would either die, or be rescued. so if people haven't posted or done anything in a while, pm them a warning and then re adopt or confiscate the horses? instead of someone hoarding them then doing nothing with them. especially if someone hasn't been on cs in a year? i don't know, just an idea.

I can support that -- I would do it myself but unfortunately I just don't have the time to go back through and find all horses equally ^^' However, if anyone finds a horse that is being neglected and messages me about it, I'd be happy to start the process if that person has indeed been neglectful of their RVEC horses but active on CS in other areas and does not intend to continue taking care of their RVEC horses, I'll be happy to adopt those horses back out c:

I agree that's a good idea, but it would definitely need to done properly to avoid anyone getting offended. It should be done with ample time for the owner to respond to any messages, and definitely a long enough period when the owner hasn't been online. Hence myself - Almost a year offline... BUT I would happily agree to seeing some of my horses go to new homes because life was so absolutely crazy and they're too good of horses to have rotting away waiting for my return. However, if I had been gone a month and came back to all my horses being confiscated etc - I would be a bit upset as anyone would.

Oh, yes, definitely -- I'd never take away anyone's horses in a blink, especially since I've disappeared from here myself for so long ^^ I'd only confiscate horses after finding that someone has been very active on CS and ignored my PM after opening it, since one can tell the difference from inside their messages c: The last thing I would do is take a horse without giving someone a more than fair chance to reclaim them! Nothing would hurt my heart more on here than seeing someone all heartbroken after their horses were seized if they really did want to keep up with the sim :c

If you'd like to do that, you are certainly welcome to do so ^^ Just make sure you PM them to me instead of posting or anything! c:

Ok a question for you Syd! (That others might like to know about too!)
If we cannot train our newborns - but horses only age by training them, how does one age a newborn? I went through the front page but couldnt see anything on it. I also find that in real life - newborns take on alot more information when they are younger 4and are alot easier to train when they are babies - alot more difficult to train as they age (I know because im dealing with a snotty foal whose roughly 4-5 months old atm and I really wish i had just started training when she was a newborn.
Thought it would be a good discussion and very informative for the sim-goers
