Hikari glared. "And assuming that me and him are a couple, isn't?" She asked, pushing Maou off of her and stood up, letting him fall sideways onto the couch before walking over and picked up the book again, reshelving it.

"I'm not saying you two are a couple. I just think you to are cute together. " she giggled some. Maou woke up when he landed on the floor." I fell asleep again.? Sorry, but that stuff was super boring. Anyway, can we eat now?"

Hikari glared. "That's still the same thing." She said, rolling her eyes before looking over at Maou and sighed. "You're not going to get anywhere in life with that kind of attitude. Read 5 more chapters of this book and then we can go eat." She said, tossing "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" towards him. She didn't care that it wasn't the most educational of books, she just wanted him to actually manage to do something productive without falling asleep.

Maou huffed and opened the book." Stupid human books and their confusing words...I'm the demon king for crying out loud.." his words where kinds jambled and confusing, so you really couldn't tell what he said . The demon king started to read the book, sighing

Hikari flinched at his words. Now she knew something was wrong. He had mentioned both angels and demons in the past 10 minutes and she was sure that wasn't just coincidence unless he was one of those people who spent their days only reading books talking about the two. Turning, she took the book from Maou, holding it in one hand. "Demon king? Please explain what kind of jibber jabber has been coming out of your mouth for the past hour. And please say it in English, your Majesty." She said, obviously being sarcastic.

Hikari listened, probably more intently than she normally would but still wasn't believing what she was hearing. Of course, she had heard stories of Satan and angels and whatever conflict was happening between them, but not to this measure. She never heard of one side overpowering the leader. And even if that happened, wouldn't the war or whatever be over? And then the last part, that's what truly got her. "What? Jay isn't an angel. You're just saying that so I won't hang out with him, aren't you." She said, seeming to be offended by that statement. Though she couldn't help but believe what he was saying to some extent.
