"No fair!" Goldenpaw exclaimed, puffing out her cheeks and flashing sad and enlarged eyes up at him. Sitting up onto two legs, she raised her paws up to her chest as she curled her tail around her legs. Perhaps if she pouted for a moment, he would let something slip. Making her bottom lip protrude and quiver slightly for extra effect, and dusting the ground with her tail, she cocked her head. After not receiving no sign of him giving in, she gave in and flopped forwards back onto her four paws and rolled her shoulders back, mind swimming with excitement at what might happen with apprentice training. "Ffs," she huffed, trying to keep the grin off her face. Her legs pumped with battery acid as she trotted alongside her mentor, nerves buzzing inside her stomach. "Yup!"

Cinderfoot cocked his head, shrugging. Her question was definitely more suited for someone who actually intended on training an apprentice. A smirk carved into his lips, he replied in a nonchalant voice, "Quite a lot, there's an 'ole bunch of stuff and stuff you've 'otta learn before you can become a warrior." Flicking his tail, he welcomed her into the sanctuary's field and craned his neck to stare at her. A slight pout crawled onto his lips as she commented on their so-called 'weird' names, and he snorted at the younger she-cat. "Hey! You guys all have weirder names, like, who's called, uh, Talon? Or Simon! Our names are fine," he dismissed, "Come on, it's night time. We should look for Boulderstar, and he'll probably be in the barn." Cinderfoot stated, promptly bouncing off in said direction.

Simon was too excited to speak. She bounded ahead of Cinderfoot, heading for what she thought was the barn. The small blue she-cat was shaking with anticipation, her flanks heaving with each ragged breath she took. This was her opportunity to join a clan! She ran and ran ahead of Cinderfoot, skidding to a halt in front of a large barn. She looked up at the huge structure and, still panting, calmly entered. "Mr. Boulderstar! Mr. Boulderstar! Where are you? I would like to join your clan!" she called out, aimlessly padding through the hay. Warmth flooded her pelt as she realized how cold it had been outside as compared to here. She could hear the faint murmurs of cats sharing tongues and exotic scents swirled around her. Her heart was fluttering as she glanced around, taking in all the sights and smells. Simon dipped her head towards some of the cats before stumbling aimlessly about.

Violetpaw huffed in annoyance as she picked her way through the hay in the barn to a quiet spot in the corner. Warm, pale orange light filtered through the sanctuary from the lights flickering overhead, making her fur glow. The travel-sized diva had a good view of the rapidly dimming night sky outside, where the last milky scraps of light were fading away. Her indigo eyes reflected the pale orange light of the barn, mixing with the blue reflections of the sky. Her eyelids fluttered rapidly as she struggled to stay awake, exhaustion having swept over her suddenly. The ragdoll apprentice curled into a tight ball, tail-tip resting over her nose. Finally, she succumbed to her exhaustion and fell into a deep sleep, eagerly anticipating the morning.

Boulderstar rolled in his makeshift nest, almost asleep before he heard his name, once again, being called. He groaned in response, though he begrudingly stood and lazily dragged his paws towards the sound. He approached the entrance of the barn, looking at Cinderfoot as the tom watched a loner bumble around the barn's clearing. As the loner walked towards him, he cocked his head towards Cinderfoot. "Did you bring her in here? ..You didn't have to. I could hear her from outside." He snickered, joking lightheartedly.

Boulderstar watched the ditzy molly skip around the barn. He approached her with heavy steps. "That'd be me." He assured her, sitting in front of her. He looked down at Simon with a tired, olive gaze. "Joining?" He repeated to himself. "Why didn't you ju- ..no matter. You may join us. We'll be leaving tomorrow at dawn. You should head to bed if you're to join us by then." He instructed her before standing to his full height again and looking back to Cinderfoot. "I'll be assuming that's all you two needed. If so, I'll be heading back to my nest. Goodnight, you two."

Simon was about to faint from excitement. Finally, she'd joined a clan! "Thank you Boulderstar! Thank you Cinderfoot!" the small she-cat stretched up to touch noses with both of the toms before bounding away, searching for a nice place to sleep. She eventually found a small pile of hay to curl up in. Despite her excitement, she drifted off into sleep rather quickly and slept fairly well that night.

Birchfang stared at the sky and didn't know what to do so he decided to linger around the area for awhile. He sniffed many plants, looked at many prey and resting in different spots. He didn't know what to do and before long he fell asleep on a soft patch of grass.

Icystep returned back to where the cats are and held the sparrow in her mouth. She wasn't sure where to put the prey but she sat down with the prey. After awhile she got tired and set it down in front of her. She lied down with her head on her paws and closed her eyes.

Boulderstar awoke, his surroundings enveloped in darkness. He blinked, trying to see better, but to no avail. He sighed and pulled himself up to his paws, stretching luxuriously before taking any extra steps. A quiet yawn escaped him as he allowed his eyes to adjust to the dark. He looked around his nest, looking for Willowbreeze or Leopardstrike. After contemplating who to wake first, he went off to find Willowbreeze. He knew she would be well prepared with her herbs at hand.

Boulderstar skipped and dodged pelts to reach Willowbreeze’s nest. Once he had landed near, he nudged her a couple of times before calling her name. He glanced to the right, watching as some cats stirred awake. He ignored them for the time being as he tried his best to wake Willowbreeze up.

Pebblepond woke up at the sound of pawpads skidding across the wooden barn floors. She opened her eyes, though they were glazed over with sleep, hazing her sight. She blinked for a few moments, though gave up and allowed her eyes to adjust. Once she could see, she readjusted herself so she could lay on her side, her back pressing against the wall of the barn. She watched her father nudge the medicine cat awake. Not finding any of this interesting, the molly allowed herself a couple minutes more of sleep. Just until we have to leave.. she reminded herself before drifting off.

Jake opened his eyes. His eyelids felt like weights. He grunted and flexed his paws. He had fallen asleep next to Yarrowpelt last night. He looked at her. Still asleep. He stood up, being as quiet as possible not to wake Yarrowpelt. Jake padded into the large clearing and looked around to see who was awake. He took a moment to stretch out his body. As soon as he was done, he was quite awake. Jake licked a good portion of his fur flat. Maybe I should go grab a quick snack. Or should I wait till we leave the sanctuary? No. Definitely now. I need energy for when we leave. Jake slowly made his way over to the food bowls which were filled not too long ago. He put his maw into one and started eating the dry pellets.

Sparrowpaw was awake before everyone else, but had unfortunately fell asleep in the clearing because he was so bored. He wasn't woken by the conversations of others. Nor the noise they were making. Sparrowpaw remained asleep, lying on his side.

Ashmoon gently groomed his mate, curled around her to keep the two of them comfortable and warm in the somewhat makeshift nursery where the queens had collected with their kits. The only other two queens already had their kits and where technically outsiders but they seemed nice enough, the bicolored tom purring as he groomed Orchidfire's soft fur watching her breath gently as he awaited to leave.

Splashnose wrinkled her nose, blinking open one eye to spot the two kits the shelter cat had given birth to recently. The calico queen carefully maneuvered around her own sleeping child, knowing Frostkit was sleeping with Noel and Flamefall and Fogkit would wake soon to cause trouble she curled back around the smaller kits helping to keep them warm. She groomed each of the siblings, keeping alert for their mother to return. They where still young, and leaving them in the cold this early was far from a good idea and they could have gotten sick.

Fogkit flicked his ear stretching out lazily as he enjoyed the space as his mother moved. There where smaller kits to be cared for, the young tom still a kit for a few more moons but older than them and able to do just fine on his own for the most part. Fogkit yawned once again, stretching out lazily as he looked around already searching for trouble and excitement despite the early morning fog that still clung to the grass outside.

Frostkit rumbled, purring as he was safe and warm between Noel and Flamefall the two white cats clashing against Flamefall's ginger fur but never the less warm and happy, dreaming peacefully.
