I think the new +5 to purebreds and +2 plus to cross breeds would be great !
I've been on like a 6-7 month hiatus..... soooo to all that know me sorry. And Boop! I'm revamping??? Everything??? Idk what you would call it. I've found myself I think, through fan fiction, high school drama and a whole lot of maturing. Have a new room, new sense of humour, yeah. Ready to start helping the world. I think??? Still questioning my messed up life where I'm pretty sure my old cat is my spirit animal, I have a tea addiction (weak and sweet mind you!) and possibly building a author/ artist career??? There's a lot of question marks but that's life.

Always expect more questions than answers and you might just find yourself. xoxo

Awesome! Any thoughts on having only mares have the breeding success rate percentages? ^^

my only concern is that if you did that, perhaps owners should be able to re-roll their mares? that change will force a lot of mares to drop in value because they were previously dependent on the stallion, so i'm on the fence. after all, stallions do have some contribution to the chance of success.
i can see it, for sure, but allowing a re-roll and maybe eliminating the chance of very low success rates would probably make it an easier change to adjust to.

That sounds fair -- perhaps with the lowest success rate being 40%? It kills me to suggest it because I know that stallions do make up about half of the likelihood, but it's getting to be such a pain to recalculate it every time a breeding fails and then again if it fails a second time ^^' Although what I could also do is set up a "number of tries" section on the breeding forms so that a person can specify if they're only going to try for this breeding one time, two times, three times, until they get a successful breeding, etc. and then just do it again and again until it works and then give the recipient the final vet fee... Would that be better? Still a bit more work but it's easier than it is now and might help speed things along while keeping the realism c:

the forty percent sounds perfectly fair; after all, mares also have a contribution to how much of the skill is transferred to the foal, but in-game it has no impact. i can't see a reason not to remove bsr in stallions if it makes it smoother for you!

Hi, all! Just had a couple thoughts I wanted to run by you guys <3

First of all, do you think I should add a horse trader/broker to the list of possible barns? Basically, a horse broker would be able to request 1-2 breeds of horse per week and would then be expected to have them all for sale after a certain amount of time, and horse brokers would not be allowed to breed their horses or offer them for breeding. Of course, this is still very much not set in stone, so please let me know your thoughts on this!

Additionally, I'm considering offering ultrasounds for unborn foals, which would allow you to know the gender and color of your foal. The color part isn't exactly the most realistic, which is why I'm hesitating, but I'd love to know what you guys think about this! I'd most likely offer the ultrasounds for 500c or so.

Finally, I'm also thinking about opening back up English- and Western-specific barns for a +1 bonus rather than +3, since it should be easier to manage with my new organization system. I'm also thinking about allowing rescue barns as well, which would be primarily writing- and art-based as rescues would receive horses individually and must complete various tasks before being able to do various things. Alternately, rescues could have to offer horses up for adoption and receive them directly without completing the tasks so that others could also adopt from them, or they could take in requests for types of horses (elderly, blind, young, aggressive, mares, stallions, etc.) so that they could fill the requests with "rescues" created by me -- if that makes any sense. I'd love to hear what you guys think, if rescue barns should be brought back at all!

Please let me know what you all think and if you have any suggestions! I'd love to hear them! <3
