Spikekit awoke. He was certain they had not caught the killer, and dreaded what they would find. The spiky-furred kit padded to Daisykit's nest and asked, "Do you think we're allowed to wake up now?"

[gallifrey falls.]

Honeyfur rested her chin on her paws. She was unable to sleep, feeling incredibly guilty that Sorrelwing had been exiled. How often had the medicine cat helped her or given her advice? Honeyfur had been incredibly nervous to be carrying her first litter, but Sorrelwing was gentle and supportive. And yet, somehow she had seen fit to vote for her.
Shaking her head, she stood up and pushed her way out of the den. Maybe some fresh-kill would clear her mind. She padded over to the pile, but froze. There was someone collapsed next to it, and the stench of..deathberries? was in the air. Honeyfur crept closer, dreading who she might find. As she drew nearer, she discovered the body to be Hawkstar. "Bettlenose! Everycat! Wake up, it's Hawkstar.."

The black tom had tossed and turned all night, guilt keeping him awake. While he hadn't personally voted out Sorrelwing, he kept thinking that there must have been something he could have done to defend her innocence. Deciding that crying over spilled milk wouldn't help, Ratjaw heaved himself to his paws and exited the warriors' den. Not too long after, a yell coming nearby startled him. It was Honeyfur and something was wrong. Sprinting, the male warrior skidded to a stop beside Hawkstar's body. Dread, grief, anger, and many more emotions swirled inside of him. Bowing his head in sadness, he touched his nose to Hawkstar's forehead in a last farewell, before turning to face Honeyfur. "What do we do now? The murderer is still among us and he/she is tearing our clan apart." Ratjaw murmured, sounding defeated.

Daisykit blinked awake, about to answer Spikekit. Hearing Honeyfur, she chuckled. "I think so," she muttered, "Want to see if we can see what's going on?" she asked, tail flicking.

Froststep yawned and looked over to the two kits. Not knowing what was going on herself, she said, "You two can go see what's happening, but you have to be back in the nursery right away." Smiling at the kits, Froststep padded out of the nursery to see what Honeyfur was yelling about.

cloudfur snapped open his blue eyes and got to his feet when he heard honeyfur. he sprinted out the entrance of the warriors' den and stopped at the fresh kill pile. Hawkstar's lifeless body was laying there, the stench of death berries overwhelming."what do we do now..? the murderer still lives." he meowed, his voice cracking a little.

"What's going on?" Duckbelly meowed as he stepped out of the elder's den, his eyes still a bit foggy from his nap. He stopped as he approached the fresh-kill pile, seeing Hawkstar's body lying there motionless. "We exiled an innocent cat. Starclan help us." He murmured quietly as the rest of the clan began to gather.

i like how the queens are all like "yeah u can go outside and see the dead corpses of your clanmates" to the kits haha))

Robinflight looked at the kits a bit uncertainly before going outside herself. By the sound of it, Honeyfur probably found another one of the dead bodies. "This is horrible... we're losing two more clan members every day," she wailed, obviously distressed.
