Breeze that Carries the Rain

Breeze lay in the camp, resting silently on a shady patch of cool sand. Beside her paw lay a half-eaten grey mouse, that had quiet clearly been lying with her for a few hours. She let out a small, peaceful snore. Bits of sand also rested in her fur.

Heron that Watches the Sea

The grumpy tom sat, perched valiantly atop a boulder jutting out of the sand, not far from camp. His magnificent golden eyes rested upon a small shark that was very off into the distance. He tipped his head ever so slightly, studying it.

Gaze panted heavily as they raced what would be almost an entire day of patrol in just a few minutes for their race. His legs wobbled slightly, and he ended up tripping over his own paws, face crashing into the ground and his entire body being flipped over.

She shook her head, but purred a thank you to the kit. She noticed the prey pile was pretty low though, so she used to tail to point right past the barrier, as if inviting the swabbie to try hunting with her.

Breeze let out a loud cross between a snore and a sneeze, which led to her being awoken. She scrambled upwards, trying to blow sand out of her nose, and blinking tiredness out of her eyes blearily. Her stomach growled, as she glanced at the pile of fresh prey. Then, the scent of her old, sand-covered mouse hit her. She sighed, and plopped back down to pick at its remains.

He continued observing the sharks, eyes glittering. He watched them with pleasure and great interest, his tail perking up slightly in happiness.

You don't think Tempest will get mad though, do you?" she questioned after he excitement for the gesture grew to worry. Moon did not want to anger Tempest by breaking the Arcadia code, but she would be accompanied by the Boatsain, so it could not be that bad, right! The she-kit began to follow Turtle willingly, though she paused to say,"What about Night? I said I'd get her something to eat. Can we catch her something?"

Gaze laid on the ground for a few seconds, before shaking the dirt off his face and body. "You go ahead, I need to take a minute.. I'll still beat you! Though!" He mewed in amusement, wincing slightly at the pain of getting up after that fall.

She nodded, smile plastered to her face. Her pelt twitched in annoyance though. Moon reminded turtle of how she was when she was young, full of energy and hope. Her dreams dashed so fast when she was young, at least moon wouldn't suffer knowing that kind of pain. Turtle nudged the kit quickly, trying to get to the barrier as quickly as possible.

However, he wouldn't dare to disobey Rain... or... maybe wandering off by himself for a teeny tiny bit would be fine... He shook the thought aside, trotting back to Rain and urging her to walk faster.

The pale gray and white tabby she-cat headed quickly to where the borage had grown plentiful. Rain collected a few leaves, before beginning towards a specific marshy area, where horsetail grew.
