Does anyone else have a super strong bond with their cat and then their cat hates every one else?

My cat Koko, an apple-head siamese, is very shy and hates everyone... except me. He will hiss and growl at everyone else when they go near him and he usually hides all day until I get home. While typing this, I am on my IPad, in bed and he is like hugging my shoulder, his paw on my chest and his head against mine. He tends to get protective of me. Whenever the other cats, Bootz, a siamese snowshoe, and Phoebe, a little black Hemingway cat, are on my bed or near me, Koko will bite them nail they leave. It's kinda adorable how we have this bond and I was wondering what everyone else's views are on this.

Is my cat the only one who tries to eat his whiskers?
He won't try to eat string or much of anything else, but if you place one of his whiskers in front of him he will try and eat it.
It's super weird and also entertaining to watch.

Sigh. I miss my kitty Buster. He looked a lot like this but with dark brown eyes instead of amber. I miss him so much. He got run over by a car when I was a little kid. Now thinking about him makes me want to cry.

I agree; pets grow and evolve into family members, loved ones. Losing them is just as painful as losing your closest friend. I'm really sorry, but I hope that the loss isn't too much to ruin your life. With some of us, that happens. But be happy.

Quick update on my cats.

After having Salem (the black cat) for a few months, my mom decided to try and rename him. She wanted to call him mao (which means cat) but no one else wanted to call him this so we decided to kind of compromise and name/nickname him meimao (eyebrow). His official name on his papers is mao because my mom is the one who took him to his first vet visit and told them that's what his name was.


Salem has decided that his favorite toy is anything that has feathers on it. He especially likes the feather boas I get from the dollar store. I have to put a blanket down so feathers don't get everywhere c':

Also my outdoor cat Salmon has decided to come back home. He had been missing since june, and I'm guessing that he had been catnapped by someone in my town. He had gained at least 10 pounds but is now on a strict diet.

one of my cats loves boas! a few years ago i had a boa as a part of a halloween costume. he got a hold of it and dragged it all over my home, tearing feathers out... they were everywhere

We are currently away on holiday and we left the boys at home with a pet/house sitter. The pet sitter messaged my mum today, apparently Archie has peed all over the laundry floor..... it was under the bins and in his food bowl.... EW! Have no clue why he did this, the pet sitter says he has taken his meds twice a day (to stop urine crystals) and he is very good at using a litter tray which is in the laundry! Maybe he just missed the tray big time XD

The last time he peed on something other than the tray was my bed as a kitten, but that was because I walked into the room, giving him such a fright he peed all over himself and the bed XD my poor baby!

Anyway we're shopping for stuff for the new cat today.
{this is her} Of course we haven't gotten her yet, we're going out today to buy a carrier and all that!
Edit: Didn't do it; was talked out of it. Still getting Cleo but haven't gotten a reply from the adoption people. I hope we get a reply.
Edit Number Two: Well, we got a reply. No. Cleo's ill so we can't adopt her. Currently looking at [Sweet Little Spot] [Pearl] [Adele] & a couple others!
