Whoever said it's worth 14 '09 rares must've confused it with the red malk dragon. This one is copper.
It's generally worth the 3 month rule, but with demand can get a couple extra 09 rares.

No, the rare copper dragon isn't worth nearly that much. Whoever told you that must have been confusing it with the very-rare blood red dragon. (The difference, besides the rarity, is that the copper one has yellowish wings while the other has solid red wings.)

By rarity alone it doesn't have any special value; however, many people might be willing to overpay by a couple '09 rares. Demand varies from person to person but in general it's quite good for Malk dragons.
