I see nothing wrong with a revamp of other concepts honestly.. o_o I think it makes things more interesting. I also don't think the idea was directly borrowed from equi's either.

I agree. Just because bird horses were done before, doesn't mean they can't be done again. Besides, these are totally different species of birds and these you can actually tell are birds because they have texture and feathering. They aren't just painted designs. I honestly felt like Equi rushed her bird horses while this new litter appears to have time spent on them.

In comparison....I really don't think they are much like Equi's bird designs at all. Equi did basic colors, no real design or detail like Yulynh's bird babies.







It may be the same concept perhaps...but I find the execution different, with the feathers and wings, and not just color. She may have borrowed the idea, but she also made it her own.

This one looks like a beach. ^^' It's the only horse I truly like in the litter.

I like both Equis and Yulynhs bird horses <3 But I love raptors so Yulynhs bird horses is my fave litter of those two =3

Nice, but it would look nicer if they eyes were darker. The design has to much light in it already.

They are all real bird designs though. xD There was an entire thread dedicated to matching the horse to it's bird when they came out.
True, Equi and Yulynh have different styles, but it's still a re-used concept which is what was bugging me, especially since Yulyn's so new. I don't want to just remember her as being the one who redid Equi's ideas is all.
I'm not trying to bash Yulyn or anything guys, don't worry, I just thought I would encourage her to continue with her own original ideas that I like so much. She's a good artist and I don't think she needs to go back to older, already used ideas to be loved. :]

I don't think there is any reason to diss either of the artists. Equi had a nice idea of making those simple bird horses, and Yulynh had a nice way of making them her own idea. I see no fault in either. It's just like the 2nd gens. I ADORE how Yulynh is drawing the 2nd gen litter of Equi's horses! That was an amazing idea. They both draw and design horses, it's okay for them to share a few similarities! :O
