Okay, story.... In class (not today), we were learning about Hamilton. Finally, we got to his death. They were talking 'bout Aaron Burr, blah, blah, blah and I raised my hand and I turned to my class (I sit in the front) and started scream/singing:
"THEY WONT TEACH YOU THIS IN YOUR CLASSES, BUT LOOK IT UP HAMILTON WAS WEARING HIS GLASSES. WHY? IF NOT TO TAKE DEADLY AIM? IT'S HIM OR ME THE WORLD WILL NEVER BE THE SAME!"

In England, the nearest they teach us is prohibition and the Golden Years, in the 1920s, and that's for GCSE -- it almost made me regret studying history back when I was in high school. I can't remember exactly what they teach in younger years, but by my recollection, not much at all. For some reason they don't even touch the era, which I never understood because it's such an important time in history. I suppose that's just how the system works, though. Maybe it's best left untouched, but frustrating all the same when people don't know and understand the history.
You basically feel like they don't teach much because, well...they don't!

@bolton Yeah, I haven't got to GCSE yet, but the only American history we've learnt so far is the slave trade and Jim Crow laws ect...
