favorite hobby: Mitsuko has multiple hobbies, such as
collecting succulents and minerals, but his main hobby
is basket weaving. He began learning at a very young age,
and eventually it grew into a bit of an obsession. Mitsuko
weaves things from baskets, to hats, to little grasshopper
figures for the kids. He can even make a little coin off the
hobby, which helps a lot!

personality: Mitsuko is a complex character, he's nurturing, yet faint, but when you're friends with him, he'll take you on the most fantastic adventures.

Mitsuko dreams, he does, he has a huge imagination and can often times be found telling stories, building worlds, or even playing pretend. Though he is timid about his ideas, he doesn't hesitate to create them, and if you're showing genuine interest, he's willing to share them with you too.

All the talking goes on in his head, it's very true. Mitsuko may have a loud mind, but he doesn't make a good conversation partner. The kid is usually pretty nervous about what to say and when to say it, making him awkward and reluctant to express himself. When he does speak, his voice is soft and lulling.

It's very easy to reduce Mitsuko into an anxious mess. Though he's usually seen as someone very peaceful, all that activity in his mind stresses him out and can eventually lead to a nervous breakdown.

The gummikit cares, even if he seems closed off, he actually sorta freaks out when he knows people are upset. Mitsuko will spoil you if you're in a time of need, tending to you and giving you as much attention as you'd like.

★Birds, no, he hates most birds. Especially the ones
with the big, round eyes. This links directly to his fear of
being watched, or recorded.

★Being watched, Mitsuko hates cameras, mirrors, and all things
that seem to be observing him. For this reason he has trouble
making eye contact. He's very self conscious about his dreamy
nature and is afraid of someone catching him someday.

★Overly busy images, rooms, noises, anything that could
be considered typically overwhelming. Mitsuko gets really
bad headaches, which make him sweaty, scared, and can
even cause his nose to run.

★Obviously bad people and bad happenings. He's not loud,
but if he ever finds that someone's been harassing a friend,
family, or pretty much anyone, he will get loud. Mitsuko
can pronounce himself, but he usually doesn't, it makes him
uncomfortable. Either way, he'll sacrifice his comfort
for anyone.

★Coffee, he hates the taste that coffee leaves in his
mouth. It's so bitter, it's way too warm, and it has a
murky aftertaste.

★ He thoroughly enjoys basketweaving, as stated above! It's
his favourite hobby, and he's proud of his talent.

★ Candles; Mitsuko adores the smell of plain or scented candles, and
he enjoys playing with the melted wax after they've gone
out.

★Insects, especially lightning bugs. Mitsuko doesn't have any pets
but if he could choose one he'd probably pick a spider. He loves the
sound of crickets outdoors at night time, and the pretty intricacy
that is a spiderweb.

★Mitsuko adores the sound of rain, it puts him to sleep at night.

★The gummikit also loves reading, not necessarily long winded
novels and stories, he actually prefers to read the news, meaning
he usually knows what's going on before you do. It's a little weird
for a kid who enjoys creating narratives in his mind, that doesn't
go to say that he doesn't read the classics.

★Thinking, usually, though this can also fall under a dislike.
He loves thinking about the things he loves, and he finds it enticing
to be curious as we know he is.

★Listening He likes the little sounds you hear now
and then, he likes knowing those annoyances. Being such a
fictitious fantasizer makes him a little paranoid sometimes, since
he isn't always confident that what's happening is real. Mitsuko doesn't
mind the scuttling of mice in the walls or the creaking of floorboards,
it makes things authentic. You could talk to him for hours, and he'd be
able to repeat everything you said word for word.

★Loving people, he likes to make his friends and family
feel good, and that's what he's here to do. Whether he's taking
them to another world, or reminding them that the world
around them is real and that they're safe, he's
willing to lend a paw whenever it's needed.

more about the hobby;
Chinese lantern making is a personal favorite of hugo's. when she attends the Chinese lantern festival she brings all of her creations from that year with her. she really enjoys the festival for spiritual reasons, as she is always trying to change something about herself, and releasing one of these lanterns is one way of making her resolution for the new year. it relaxes her and lets her gaze at the beauty of the lanterns as they light up the night sky. she always writes riddles on her lanterns and hands them out to the children as they pass by. she tends to an old temple while she is there, and just loves seeing the smiles on the children's faces as they gladly grab one of her many varying lanterns. she likes to tag along with children and watch them solve her riddles and finally let her lanterns greet the starry sky.

Immediate Family: her immediate family was small. the fact being that in reality both her parents died before she even became 1 year old. Reason being that her father died in the hospital before she was ever born. and her mother in reality died when she was giving birth to him. Ever since then she has been in an orphanage and self teaching herself. That's how she learned to make Chinese paper lanterns. Her foster parents are long since deceased.

Upbringing: In the basics of her life, she was teaching herself in the ways of the Chinese culture and Japanese lantern making. She raised herself in the ideals of the festival where each year she would change something about herself. She made it a goal to know all about honor and wisdom and payers and everything of the sort. the things her foster parents taught her brought her to this point in his life where she does everything to help others and make herself a better person.

Shortened History: learning to talk, walk, and explore her vast surroundings, she never knew her parents. or where she truly came from. up until she was in the children's home. where they, when she could understand what had happened, was when they told him everything about his past. at first he really didn't believe them, being in and out of homes and loosing hope about everything. including love and families. to make a living for herself as an early start to a better life, she was an apprentice for a well known lantern maker and worked until she was a year from finishing her apprenticeship when her teacher died, and she then, taking the works she was making for her teacher to study and help her improve upon, taught herself in hes teachers ways. and crafted many more things than paper lanterns, choosing to paint them as well. She created a life for himself by studying the dynastys. She believes her time as a lantern weaver was meant to be.

Evolution: when Hugo was younger, she was very naive about many things and created an image that made others pity her. But as she learned many things, from her time participating in the festivals as a child, and learning from her mentor, she began to rethink life and make amends to things she should have done before. More than once each year she changes one thing about herself, but she makes a lantern for one thing she changed that effected her life much more than the others. She has learned through time about the hardships of life, and has remodeled herself into someone who can push through it. It's just how Hugo is now. Someone who takes life no matter how cruel it gets, and shapes it into something positive and helpful to boost her and others' quality of life. She shapes this for the best not for the worst.

Personality; Hugo is a sweet gal. Rarely does she ever think negatively about things. Although her past was hard, she is always pushing forwards. Especially with the help of the lanterns she creates and the time she had working with her mentor she has shaped up to be a very pleasant gal in deed. Hugo means "Bright in Mind and Spirit" or "intelligence" which fits her really well. She is as smart as she is optimistic, and really loves learning new things. Hugo is a strong person but is incredibly gentle, she loves to help out and Would rather compromise than fight over something. She isn't a total pacifist but she would do anything to keep from fighting. She isn't one to hold grudges and is completely open minded. It's just who Hugo is.
