.. I don't think today's dog is based on silver coins? For one it would probably resemble the other coin dog more but also the tail is see through. It looks more like it's based on oil lamps which would be in line with the holiday.

Yep! It's an oil candle, since oil is basically the basis for hanukkah as I understand it. The tail is glass, and the body is designed after the woven fabric wick that sits in the oil.

Ah nice now I see it! This outcome is lovely.

Aww no I missed the kitty! Ah well, I loved tonight's pets. And the Hanukkah dog litter is so beautiful ahhhhh. I think my favorite so far is the golden chocolate coin one, it's so pretty.
