During the time they had enetered the cave, he had forgotten all about the crystal that Maven Black Brier was after. If he didn't return with it in hand, she would have him by the throat, or worse, put a bad name out for the Guild. He wanted to give it back to Mika, but he knew he couldn't. It dangled around his neck but she didn't seem to pay it any mind either. The male looked up to her when she spoke, a small, warm smile appearing on his scaley mouth. She said she would like to be with him. After a moment of thinking he remembered he had a name out for himself and his smile faultered. "Id love to have you by my side but I can't have you getting wrapped up in my scales. I'm no good for you Mika. You have you're whole life ahead of you, I don't want to ruin that for you." Hanzars smile completely disappeared as a sad frown now replaced it. He sighed lightly. When he felt her soft fur gently touch his smooth scales he looked back up at her and stared into her eyes. The males fiery gaze held pain as he didn't want that life for her.

Shade sighed as they disappeared. "Well, it looks like your fine for Skyrim will have to be paid off later. I have half of what you owe him." The elf said calmly before returning to her horse. There was a large coin purse in her horses pouch that was fairly large. She emptied the small coin pouches and put the septims into one large pouch. A small smile appeared on her face before she turned around and looked to M'jhera calmly. "You can't tell me to not do this. I want that guy; whoever he may be be, off your back. I also want Skyrim to look the blind eye and leave you alone. No one deserves to live in the shadows all their life.. like a lot of us are." Shade said as she looked to the ground before turning back to her horse. The dark elf closed her horses pouch and mounted him. "Let's continue our ride to Markarth. I'll work double time in the Guild and find a way to come up with the extra 300,00 gold." She said with a determined smile. "And you can't say otherwise." The elf said with a grin.

The khajiit made her way towards the cabin and made her horse stop. She looked to the girl with a smile. "Take care of yourself young one." Dar'Zarina said as she helped the girl dismount. "Trust no one except for yourself and your instincts. Think with your heart, not with you head." She said calmly before turning her horse to ride off.

Mika's smile faltered at his words as he seemed to begin to shut down towards her. It was reasonable the reasoning he spoke of after all he was going to be an assassin. He may doubt it, but she had every ounce of faith that he would reach his goals. She had enemies as well of course, but minor ones..nothing compared to his probably. His gaze was pained as they stared at each other, and she knew hers were filled with doubt even sadness. He was right about her having her whole life ahead of her, but what was she going to do with it? Remain a wanderer selling hides..settle down with some other Khajiit who probably traveled with the caravan? There was really nothing else a Khajiit could do unless they joined a guild. No town would take them as a guard. Did she want that protected easy life for herself? What about Hanzar because even though he had his guild families here he was alone with her. She saw no other watching his back, and surely he wished for more? The doubt seemed to clear a bit as she made her decision, and it was her decision to make. "You won't be ruining my life, but giving me more adventures. I doubt your ready to settle down in a peaceful life, but neither am I. Let me watch your back, share your enemies, and stay with you. You once said you would teach me to fight..do so. Let me stay with you. Please." She whispered eyes searching his before she lowered her forehead against his. She didn't want to go through the bonding again with another..she doubt she could..not when it would take healing from this one. She wasn't going to let him go.

The male kept his eyes locked onto hers as she talked. He could see the doubt in her eyes and the male began to worry of what she was thinking. She began to talk and she leaned her head against his. Hanzar didn't speak but instead pulled her in close with his hands and embraced her with a hug. His smooth scales gently touching her soft fur as he embraced her thin frame. The male gently placed his head on her shoulder as his hands were on her back. After several moments he released his grip and looked into her amber gaze. "If you are sure." He said with a gentle smile before slowly leaning in and kissing her forehead. "I will teach you how to fight as well, but I will have to do so after my back is healed." He said with a light chuckle.

Mika closed her eyes as he kissed her forehead a smile dancing on her lips. She confirmed how sure she was by giving a soft purr until he spoke of his back. His wounds! Mika's eyes flashed open staring at him a bit wide eyed," We should get you to solitude right away. Think you can travel?" She asked cursing herself for forgetting though the reasons why she forgot were very good ones. She had found her mate or at least someone that could become her mate. She would have to ask him later what the Argonian customs were, but for now focusing on getting him the help he needed should be first. She began to pull away from his body shivering at the lack of heat only to pause, and give him another brief kiss. Hey, if he had doubts about her liking that display of affection she was going to have to show him otherwise. Grinning she finally pulled away from his hold turning to start gathering everything they had back into their satchels. She hummed while she worked even as she made up some more herbs for him. Everything done she moved to kneel back at his side powder in hand. "This will give you a bit of energy, and numb the pain a little for travel." She told him handing him the flask of water once more. "I'll then change your bandages, and help you into your armor. We will have to get you a new breast plate in town as well as clothing." She noted then realized she herself needed to get dressed as well. It wouldn't be wise to go to solitude in nothing, but a tunic. Could you imagine..

Hanzar watched as she stood up and began to collect their wares. He carefully tried to stand up but slightly faulted before she handed him more herbs and the flask of water. Chocking down the sour remedy he took a quick swig of the water. A small smile appeared on his face before he took his ruined armor and folded it neatly before shoving it into a bag. He needs proof to Brynyolf that it was ruined if he wanted to get a new piece. The male slug the bag gently onto his back and was mindful to have it away from his wound. Hanzar stood up on shaky legs before he turned to Mika. "I should be alright." He said through slightly gritted teeth. "Just as long as we don't run into trouble, we should make it to Solitude before nightfall." Hanzar said as he began to slowly wobble out of the cave.

Mika's lips turned down at the corners as she watched him try to stand, but said nothing. He did not need her babying him just helping him when it was required. Realizing he was almost ready she hurried to switch into her own armor placing the tunic in her bag when she was finished. She then checked behind them to make sure they didn't forget anything. So far so good. She hurried out of the cave behind him moving to the fox. Kneeling down she pulled out her blade skinning the poor creature. She really did feel bad for ending its life unnecessarily. Putting its fur in her bag she then rose before striding back to Hanzar's side. Without a word she dipped under his arm wrapping a arm about his waist to help steady him as well as take some weight. Sure the injury was to his back, but the pain had to be immense. "Nightfall huh, I hope the healer is still open that late. Surely they will be." She remarked thoughtfully as they moved along the dirt path. She could feel the temperature beginning to drop. It had been cold during the night, but she knew as they progressed it wouldn't stay with just the darkness. Hopefully her fur pressed against him will help a bit with that. She was lucky to have fur, but he had only scales. Of course, his scales had always been warm to the touch so maybe she was wrong. She didn't ask instead kept alert as they progressed. Who knew when something might find them...

They began to walk out of the cave and he wobbled slightly as he tried to balance himself with a weak back. He watched as she skinned the fox and shove it into her bag. A small smile appeared when she helped him with walking and also taking some of the weight off of his back. The pain was intense but he tried not to show it. Ever few steps he would wince but he didn't stop walking. "Probably, but I'm sure she would stay open to help. That's what she's there for." Hanzar said with a slight chuckle through a pained frown.

She let out a small huff at his words," I'll make her help if not. Some healers are rude or just hogwash only in it for the gold." She sighed as once more he flinched wishing she could do more..if only she had gotten a horse. Maybe the next time they saw a stable they would just for these purposes. Though she wondered if it would be worth it as that also meant protecting the horse. She would worry about that later. Maybe it was time to ask her question so as to keep his mind off the pain. "What are Argonian customs?" She asked softly not exactly focusing on the relationship ones. In due time..baby steps. Besides a broad question gave them more to discuss. "Do you know any khajiit customs? I only know a few..I wasn't raised by Khajiits." She confessed realizing she was a bit of an oddity. She blinked as Solitude came into sight some distance away. Now however marshes seemed to be appearing further down the road. She grimaced then sighed," I really don't like getting my paws wet "

The male looked to her with a curious expression as she asked him what his race's customs were. "Well you better have a long attention span becuase ours is very in depth and long." Hanzar said with a slight chuckle. "Well, argonians live and come from an area in Tamriel called Black marsh. We are perfectly adapted to these swamp lands. It is almost impossible for one to get to the interior of Black Marsh unless you're an argonian. Many that explore often die of disease unless they are argonian." Hanzar paused momentarily for her to be able to wrap her head around what he was saying. "Unlike most race's we start out as a egg and are placed in an area called Hatchling Pools that are close by to the Hist Tree. When the eggs hatch, a connection to the hatchling and the tree are formed but if for whatever reason, if a connection is not formed, that egg, or hatchling will die. After we are born, we drink the sap of the Hist Tree, which is said to give the argonian his or her soul. When an argonian dies, it is said that their soul returns to the Hist Tree so the cycle can repeat itself." Hanzar paused for another moment to rest his mouth before he continued. "It is very rare for an argonian to be born outside of Black Marsh becuase of our dependency on the Hist Tree. But it has happened before. I remember my parents talking of a man named Ja-Reet who was born into slavery and away from Hist Tree. He married a Mer women, and tried to return to Black Marsh but was unable to understand our social ques and body language.
We are also able to breathe underwater due to having gills on our necks, though they are often hidden underneath a flap of scales. As a young adult all argonians are trained in guerilla warfare. We are the only race who excels in this tactic and it has been proven very useful.
Also becuase of our long history of slavery, we have become a very distrustful race becuase the Dark elves think we will seek revenge. But since all races have learned of our slavery they are also afraid that we will seek revenge on them. We do not have any true allies, most of the time we just feel neutral towards the other races. Argonians don't really care of the other affirms between everyone else. Though we do hate the Dark elves for putting us into slavery but both of our races also hate each other. It is looked down upon for an argonian to befriend a khajiit or the other way around. Though I left my home long ago, I don't really care for what they think." The argonian said with a light smile.
