She nods in agreement, stepping forward to sniff it. The waft of the rotting corpse drove her back, coughing in disgust. "That's strange... who would do such a thing?" She tilted her hhead, thinking. "It could of been a bird of prey, yet they don't kill for fun... or like this" She prods the reeking rat. The rat rolls over slightly, leaving it's open wound wide open. She scrunches up her nose, flicking an ear.

Fox was glad that Rain was much gentler with him, and he gave a slight shudder at the thought of what life might be like if his mentor wasn't as kind. Noticing Rain shiver, Fox gave another gentle, worried forehead bump. It was hard to imagine Rumble being any different than he was now..!

Eye of the Eerie Tempest
"We need to put all future patrols on high alert for the time being. If the rogues are coming over here, they won't show any mercy to a sailor or apprentice caught by themselves." he stated warily, peering about in a cautious manner to ensure their safety. Even though the stench was practically unbearable, Tempest was not going to allow a disgusting rat to stink up the place he called home. He dug up the earth, unsheathing his claws to get deeper into the soil. The rat was placed inside the finished hole, swatting it carefully in case it happened to be poisoned. He covered it up with a sigh, eyes narrowing at the thought of an enemy being on the tribe's rightful territory. "We should be heading back. The sun will be setting soon, and we need to warn the rest of the tribe."

Moon that Glows Through Trees
Moon found herself rearranging her mossy nest inside the nursery, placing her feathers and seashells in a specific order. One in particular caught her eye: a white seashell with the scent of the ocean, sun bleached from many travels. "This is perfect! Night you could give this to her." she piped up when the idea struck her, quickly picking up the delicate item to bring it to the expecting queen. "Isn't it lovely?"

She nods and runs back to pick up the prey she caught. She darts back to the patrol, slightly out of breath. She starts to pad home, her gaze always out to the sea.

Silence. Rain must be away. Turtle backed up, glancing around the camp. It was getting dark and the patrol still wasn't back. She huffed, her brow furrowing. She trotted into the jungle, her slim body squeezing quickly past all the trees. She made it pretty quickly to the lake, the scent of the patrol cats strong. But, something else was there too. She glanced at a small rat, torn and rotting. She took cautious steps towards it, the smell making her stomach turn.

Sun winced as the sunlight poured out from the trees, hurting his eyes. Squinting, he saw the camp again. "We're back!" He purred, dashing through the last bit of the jungle and kicking up sand.

A slender brown tom casually groomed his pelt atop the treetops, vines surrounding him in shadow. A collar was torn and faded around his neck. A shark tooth was strung through it, hanging by a small piece of twine created by Twolegs. He stared downwards as his victim approached, an all-too-calm grin lighting his features. He let off an eerie aura, rising from his comfortable location to slink down the tree slowly. The tom cat positioned himself within the safety of the brush. "Hello dearest." he commented politely, yet cautiously, ignoring the stench the buried rat gave off. "Wither wander you?"

Tempest
He burst into the camp with the rest of the patrol. Tempest raced up to the Crow's Nest to announce the beginning of a meeting,"All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather on deck!"

Moon
She heard the captain's call from the nursery, looking up at Night curiously. "I wonder what the meetings gonna be about. Maybe he's making me an apprentice soon!" The she-kit was obviously too young.
