Mika nodded at his question then realized that wasn't much of an answer. "Yea, its only our first day here really, and so much has already happened. I got injured on a hunt, and Cybil got attacked by a loner. Then Benji left..he was suppose to be our Alpha. We don't know why..his sister went with him so we also have a new Healers Apprentice on the way. Um, we were going to do the coronation in the morning, but with being abandoned.. I feel we should coronate Cybil as Alpha soon as possible." She sighed her shoulders drooping a bit as her arms came to wrap her midriff, and wound..as if she needed comfort. " Still I think the forming of the pack is getting to everyone's wolves..its as if our wolves are searching for their mates already. Impatient beasts..we have our whole lives to settle now, and get a territory." She hummed thinking back to when she had jumped the gun due to her almost near brush with death. She would be a bit more patient with who she wanted to court now. Mika blinked as her wolf let out a huff of annoyance then sent a bit of power towards Alastair. Mika rolled her eyes then knowing he would think she was just rolling her eyes at her before comment not her inner wolf being a child. Realizing they had entered the kitchen, and now stood in front of the other two she gave a small smile. Oops. Clearing her throat she nodded at Cybil," Yes this is Alastair." She bite her lip wondering what the others had saw or heard. Well she had just been holding his hand not like that was an issue. She gave Alastair a glance before moving away to a counter intent on jumping up. She went to move only to pause as her side flared. She settled for just pressing her hip against it acting as if that didn't just happen.

He gazed at her, feeling her power touch his gently. They had had a long, rough start toward pack status, and he couldnt blame it on the wolf who now claimed alpha. He blinked, noticing the way her arns wrapped carefully around her wound. He nudged her slightlty and smiled, offering some mild comfort until the sound of the alpha tore his attention away from her. Alastair's attention immediately shifted, his deep blue eyes penetrating the alpha's icy blue one. He wouldnt dip his head, but he allowed his posture to sink somewhat, reminding himself of Mika's hand entangled in his own. His stature spoke of alpha, his power reaching out to touch the alpha before him. She seemed to be able to sense that perhaps he was not of beta decent but rather of alpha. The thought pleased him but he had to admit, she olayed off alpha well and as his powers sought hers he was surprised to feel the alpha swelling around her. He refrained from allowing his wolf self to growl, his eyes narrowing only slightly, the only sign that his inner wolf had responded. "I'm here, you could ask me" he snarked, smiling. Though his eyes portrayed a slight irritation, his smile allowed the knowledge of the playfulness that rested behind his words. He turned to Mika with a smirk, his eyes meeting hers, and immediately he softened his expression and returned his eyes to the alpha, a slight apology hidding within his curulean iris.

Cybil blinked at his snark, mouth hardening
in a line as her eyes flashed. When he softened
in Mika's presence, his eyes conveying something
close to an apology, Cybil's mouth only pulled
more, eyes narrowing. Unlike the other two
in the room, Cybil did not pull her power.
She had the most accurate control of it out
of anyone else in the room, and she let it show
as, with a blink, a gust of energy rippled through
the room, shattering a glass vase that perched over
the sink.

She didn't even turn to look, settling her power in
the next second, as if nothing ever happened. Her
eyes leveled at the Beta, an understanding glowing
in them. "You may not like the position's we are
in. As I suspect you don't, what with the way your
power prodded at me just now. You're alpha blood
and I'm beta. It makes sense if our roles are reversed.
But they're not. I was hand picked for this pack because
of the way I was raised. I am controlled, and dedicated.
I don't care much if you respect me. But as long as you
accept this pack, then you'll have to settle your
wolf, and respect my rank. We don't have to be friends,
though I'd like us to be. But I will not have more
trouble in this pack than has already arisen. If you
had come a day sooner I'd have stepped down, let blood
rule over law. But you are here now. I hope you can accept
that, and accept me as your alpha. I will not ask for submission,
only that we work together in harmony for the sake
of the pack."

Her words were clear, solid, and strong. Cybil was ever
self sacrificing, ever diplomatic. If there had been doubt
before about her ability as Alpha, there wouldn't be any
more.

He felt the ripple shutter through the room and his inner wolf lunged against him, straining to release. He bit it back and listened as she spoke. She was accurate in believing that he did not much like the thought of serving under a beta, but Mika had asked for help and for some reason he couldn't say no. It hadn't been her alpha power for he could resist her, but perhaps another allure had spoken to him. His wol twitsted inside him, and he couldnt help the huff the escaped his lips. He was pleased at the words that danced across the alphas lips, he would not have to bow to her whim and for that he was thankful, but did he accept. He turned, eyes scanning Mika, he knew she had wanted his help and with a sigh of frustration he turned his gaze back to the Alpha "I accept the rank and the pack" he remarked, blinking, though he refused to say he would respect her position. He wouldnt, not until she gad thoroughly proven herself but until further notice she would allow the alpha to believe she had proven himself. With almost to much vigor, he dipped his head.

Mika frowned slightly as her eyes drifted between Alastair, and Cybil. She didn't expect it to go smoothly, but she didn't exactly expect this either. When Cybil's power went through the room she shot her friend a look. "Your explaining that to the Chef not me." She chided gently pointing at the broken vase before stepping up a little to be between the two obviously tense wolves. "Cybil has a point though..we need this to run smoothly. As soon as the pack finds out Benjamin left...its not going to go over as smooth as butter. It will be us to make that happen. However, Cybil you okay? " She raised a brow at her friend noting she seemed to be a bit confrontational since..the loners. She also knew they both hadn't gotten much sleep. She was secretly delighted though it wasn't her power being displayed right now. She didn't have much control over it as she should..like Alastair probably did. But none had a past like her really..she had reasons to be a bit out of control. She moved a bit closer to Alastair wrapping her arms about his arm. She could trust Cybil to get herself controlled or Van to comfort her. What about Alastair though? She wasn't blinded to the softening looks he gave her..she just hoped she wasn't misreading them. What if he was just being nice? Her worries were laid to rest however, when he spoke making her squeeze his arm in gratitude. "I think you will come to like the pack, and your rank. We can go on some runs together when your free. Cybil is very good at managing things." She flashed her friend a smirk.

Cybil shot a glance at the vase and shrugged,
unapologetic. "I'll clean it up. Not a big
deal." The alpha finished off her hot chocolate
and nodded at Mika's suggestion, a small smile
greeting her face. "Of course as Beta you'll
be free to do as you please day to day. The
only expectation I place is that any actions you
take are for the betterment of the pack. I
promise, it's not too different from being Alpha."

She hoped that last comment would ease him a bit.
To be frank, Cybil had little care for if the new
comer liked her or respected her. As long as he played
his part publicly, and respected the pack, that's all
she cared about. Cybil had enough friends within
the pack. And she trusted Mika's judgement without
fail.

The blonde turned her attention from the two, letting
them settle to their antics as she glanced over at Van,
praying he wouldn't scold her for her power outburst.
Cybil wasn't one to release her power very often. She
had always locked her wolf up tight, preferring to stay
humane and logical.

He was fine, as he said he’d be. She watched the male just barely pull himself up, his hind legs finally finding a foothold on the ledge, only to plop down in exhaustion, his chest heaving from the extraneous effort. She was tempted to say something snide, like “fine help you were”, but now taking the time to actually notice the drop off and conclude what would’ve happened had he not stopped her, she realized he may have saved her life, and risked his own to do so. Even just peeking over the drop off now, all she could see was darkness, and she cringed to think how close she’d came to her end. Such chivalrous behavior didn’t deserve a snarky tongue, especially since he didn't really have anything to gain by saving her. If anything, she owed him her gratitude.

She glanced back at the hare as he mentioned it, then turned away to go retrieve it, bringing the tiny creature closer to him while he spoke. "You better eat that as if it is a grade A meal woman..I have never risked my life for another before. Your dang beauty is going to be the death of me." She huffed softly, an auditory rolling of the eyes so to speak. Oh she certainly would be enjoying the hare like a "grade A meal"; with the scent of its fresh meat wafting mere inches from her face and saliva building up in her mouth, she was already struggling to keep herself from tearing into the poor thing. She needed to dismiss him first, give a proper goodbye, and a proper thanks, having decided he deserved both. As for saying her beauty would be the death of him, she briefly flicked her tail to the side, the ghost of a pleasured wag, then took that statement as her cue, since he brought up the subject of death and all.

“Thank you,” she stated formally, if not a bit softer than she usually would have, politely dipping her head to the male. She then lifted her head, readying to say goodbye, only to discover the male had suddenly lumbered over to her and gently slid his tongue across her mouth, taking the hare blood with it.

He had said something about raiding food from her cabin’s kitchen next time, but she hardly heard any of it, her body freezing and eyes widening slightly. Where his tongue had touched her muzzle, a blossom of warmth had bloomed, rapidly spreading from her lips to her cheeks to the top of her head and all throughout her body, ending with a jumping heart. Embarrassment, of course. Shock. What else could it possibly be? She instantly jerked her head away and bared her fangs at him, all gratitude and softness lost from her demeanor. How dare he?! How dare he do such a thing, AND without her permission? And then… Dare to turn his back on her?! Cheeks flushed, surprise, anger, and a whole whirlwind of other emotions spinning in her brain, all she could do was curtly reply, “There shan’t BE a ‘next time’!”, then roughly grab her hare and charge past him, nose pointed haughtily in the air and tail arched over her back, disdainfully flicking his nose as she passed. “GOOD NIGHT!”

Once she’d decided she was a considerable enough distance away, she took off running again, despite the protest from her legs, which hadn’t truly gotten a chance to rest. Her cheeks - no, her entire body - still burned, the cool night air doing nothing to help this time, and though she had quite a few in mind, she couldn’t exactly pinpoint all the emotions that were behind it. Space. Again, all she needed was space. She would make her way back to the cabin, eat her meal, get plenty of space. Though she got the sneaky suspicion that space wouldn't help her to forget this night so quickly…

Oh bother.

Zane blinked in surprise at her tone pausing to look back at her only to wheel backwards as she charged past her fur absolutely in a tissy. What had he done wrong? Zane frowned watching her disappear taking the time to slowly lower his haunches to the groups tilting his head the confusion practically rolling off him in waves. "She is sure interesting." He mumbled to himself before a grin slide over his expression. There would defiantly be a next time if he could help it. If he hadn't of wanted to pursue her before he did now. Not only was she gorgeous, but she was a fire..a livelyness he had never experienced before. He didn't want to give up on her too fast. Zane picked himself up, and entered the woods again eager to see what other moments he would find.

He froze as Mika's arms wrapped around him, but not in the way a tense wolf would, rather in the way it immediately comforted his wolf. She smiled slightly but kept his gaze on the alpha. Would beta be as mear to alpha as his wolf craved? He shook the thought away and blinked up at the Alpha "Well," he turned towards the girl at his side, "could I take you up on that run" he asked, his inner wolf scrambling forward, flickering dangerously across his deep blue eyes. He needed to release the energy that had built up inside his chest. He desired the feel of the wind dancing through his pelt. Blue eyes locked onto Mika's he couldnt resistthe smirk that splayed across his jawline. Something within him craved the company of this purple haired girl, her presence calmed the alpha that seared through his blood, weirdly enough considering it had irritated his alpha self upon first meeting. He blinked away an confusion that may have played across his face and again let his eyes pierce hers

Mika frowned as Alastair turned to peer down at her asking for the run now. She hadn't expected it so soon, but when his wolf seemed to take over for a moment she nodded. He needed release, and she had the way out. She shifted her gaze to Cybil, and Van. "You two should get the coronation ready. We should do it after the pack meeting. We won't be gone long..not with my side. Just a quick breathe of fresh air." She reassured them before detangling herself from Alastair holding the door open behind him. "I fear I won't be able to give you much of a run with my side, but I'm sure your wolf just needs some energy spent. " She told him heading out the door then moving towards the front door were she opened it for him again. The air from outside danced with her senses, and with a blast of light she let her wolf out not even fully outside yet. Hayden did a wonderful job in bandaging her because they stayed on even in the shift. Her small gold wolf with bright amber eyes stared up patiently at him with a small sway of its tail.
