Tempeststar noticed the hesitation and looked intently down at Oddpaw before continuing. "Then I give you your Warrior name. Oddpaw, from this moment you will be known as Oddeyes. We welcome you as a full warrior of WildClan." He dipped his head to end the ceremony.

"Oddeyes! Oddeyes!" Sunpaw and Snakepaw called.
"Oddeyes!" Boapaw meowed.

Foxbark and Wolfsnarl stayed silent, just look at the new warrior with cold eyes. "I saw that little pause, didn't you?" One brother asked the other. They both nodded.

Ambergaze cheered, happy that there was a new warrior to, hopefully, liven up the Clan.

Oddeyes gave his leader a halfhearted smile. "Yay, I'm a warrior." He murmured, stepping down.

Tempeststar rested his searching gaze on the new warrior for a few more moments before announcing, "According to tradition, Oddeyes will sit silent vigil over the camp tonight."

Oddeyes padded over to the camp entrance and plopped down, staring silently at the forest.

Ravenwing sat in her den, shuffling with some herbs. "Sweetpaw, I would like to do some more training if you'd come here please."

Flashfire sat and watched Oddeyes with curiosity. He looked down at his paws, thinking. There was a small stain of red that would not come off of his left white paw. The paw he had used to kill his father with. He remembered the moment well and smiled. Then he remembered Inktear and his smile faltered. Inktear and Flashfire had been best friends before he was killed. Inktear had also been his brother. Shadowpatch and Ravenwing were okay littermates but Dragonsong was by far his favorite sister. But his mind wandered to the fact that everyone had mates now and he didn't. But who could he become mates with that wasn't a traitor?

Tauntedpaw sat in the clearing, playing with his tail in boredom. He looked around for his brother Lichenpaw. It made him sad to be apart from his best friend. He and Lichenpaw did everything together. They trained together, they played together, they ate together, they did everything together.

Dewpaw sat by the apprentices den with a glum look on her face. Now that it was past sunhigh, there wasn't much time left in the day to do anything. She shrugged and padded off into the forest to hunt. Scenting the air, she immediately caught a whiff of squirrel.

Crystalheart sat by the fresh kill pile, looking for Eagleheart. She had meant to ask him about his alliance with her and Shadowpatch, but he seemed to have disappeared. Maybe for another day.

Cloudwing padded into camp with a vole and two mice in her jaws. Not bad for a hunt, she concluded and dropped her catch into the fresh kill pile. She moved over to a shaded area by the Warriors den and laid down on the cool ground, hoping to catch a few minutes of sleep. She had been given the night watch the night before then sent out hunting. Now, she was exhausted.

Oddeyes flicked his tail softly, looking into the trees. I don't want to do this. I don't want to be here. His eyes wondered to the Shadows that crowded the camp. It's all their fault. It's because of them I can't live a normal life. I'll never be happy here. Without even thinking, he stood up.

Ravenwing chuckled at the little apprentice before her. She reminded the old medicine cat of herself when she was younger, learning from her own mentor how to be a medicine cat. "I'm glad to see you're so eager to become medicine cat. But I must warn you of this... herb... I am about to show you. It is very deadly and can prove how serious a medicine cat's job can be. I want you to be very aware of the job we have." Her blue eyes watched her apprentice with curiosity. Sweetkit could very much be considered her own kit, with their matching black fur and similar blue eyes, though they're not related in the slightest. Ravenwing shook her head to clear her longing for her own kits and focused back on the matter. "I need you to promise me you will not touch these unless I ever request you to do so, and to never, ever, put one in your mouth." She doesn't mean to scare the young kit, but if she was to become the future medicine cat she needed this knowledge or she could accidentally kill herself, or another cat.

Flashfire eyed Oddeyes suspiciously when he stood. He's supposed to be serving a vigil, ceremoniously supposed to be seated, as the black and white warrior recalled. Something was off about the new warrior, and he was determined to find out just exactly what he was up to. He casually padded in front of the warrior, giving him a stiff nod and a gruff and unfeeling "Oddeyes," greeting as he passed. His amber eyes surveyed the heterochromia inflicted cat with harsh judgement. He continued on his way just as casually as he had come, heading to the fresh kill pile as if it were his destination all along.
