I understand your feeling. One time, when my tiny mouse(hope this doesn't scared you) is playing with me(or I am playing with her?),my mother argue with my father loudly,I felt so scared so I hugged my mouse. Maybe because the loud noise from my mother, my mouse just ran away!I cried for help then my parents ran out.We tried to find her but we still not find it.When I thought so hopeless, my father said'Don't worry, maybe we can find her one day!If we wait for her, maybe she will climb to find us.'I thought it was only the way so I wait. After a day, when I woke up,I saw my mouse staring at me in a cup which is her favorite!I was so happy and from that day,if any of my things disappear, I will always wait calmly and I knew crying is not a way to make the things appear, the way is to keep calm.

Hope this makes you happy!
