Maybe some Birthstone Dogs? There would be 12 variations in all,one for each month of the year. Maybe a low adoption limit, but all the same rarities so that people would have to trade for their own birthstone (if they didn't get it)

yh and that month (like emeral: may, opal:octoper ...) it will only be out for 3 days so they become rare!!!

Edit: and the adoption limit : 2. (they are both different like emerals= light green and a dark green one)

how about an egeption wolf/dog???!!!

it cold have gold on the ears and tail. a patch that loks like a teardrop(gold) with a dot inside(black).
a line coming down from it's eye(gold).grey eyes.and it's bodys fur basik , black.
