Unfair to you rarity/date wise. The clover dog is from 2009. Not sure about demand wise.

I know basically nothing about item trades, so could someone tell me if it is fair? Here. Thanks in advance! Also, there's another trade that I got and I have no idea if it's fair or not. Again, thanks in advance! Here.

This is extremely unfair to the Cake dog, because it is on the September list and theirs is only a low Advent list.
I don't know about the item trade though.

It is as well unfair by demand. I personally believe the clover pup has much better demand due to the fact it was released earlier and there are less of them in game :,)

That's not quite how demand works; demand is determined by the userbase, not by the number. The number is the rarity of the pet.

1. Overpay on their side, their items are from 2015 Christmas while yours is from this year.
2. Unfair to you, the cream santa hat is a mid advent and yours is a mid september. The 2016 rare and uncommons don't do anything to cover the gap.

both of those pets have poor demand and will only fetch their tier, which is worth 3 nons + some. If the pup turns out to be a sunjewel, its massive underpay. If not, massive overpay. Depends on whether you want to take the gamble.

extreme overpay on the c$'s side, but it depends on whether or not you want the c$ since it doesn't have the most amazing demand.
