This is my first time drawing on an computer, so please forgive me. critique is welcome

It's really good, especially for your first try. I'm not the greatest artist, but I do know a few things about art.
I would try using smoothness, it really helps :3 and maybe try using layers, but that's a bit harder. For the eyelashes, unless you're doing a certain style, I would use a thinner brush size That is all I have to say
