Ryemouse raised her head, blinking sleep from her eyes. The young queen purred happily when she realized that the pain in her paws and chest wasn't as bad as it had been the day before.

Stoatfur looked up for the third time from the herbs he was sorting. Coconutpaw should've been back by now... He thought nervously. His apprentice had insisted on going into the forest to find herbs, even though he didn't want her to because of her wounds.

The dark tabby got to his paws and hurried out of the den, quickly picking up on his apprentice's scent trail. The medicine cat followed the trail through most of the territory, stumbling to a halt when he saw who was with his apprentice.

"G-Gingerpelt?"

Gingerpelt lifted hear head, and turned away from Coconutpaw. Hearing who just said her name, the molly coughed.
"Stoatfur." She purred almost instantly. "I have much to explain, in fact, almost too much. But first, we need to figure
out these kits." Gingerpelt whispered as she sat down, and looked up at Stoatfur with wide eyes.

Fangpaw glared at Cometblaze, rage filling him. "Stupid couple!" He snapped, grumbling to himself about how annoying both of them were. "Stupid warrior. I should be in your place. I don't break the warrior code!" He hissed.

Speckleblaze had wanted to leave, but instead he just sat still, waiting for Daisy to come back. "Maybe she could be my new start?" He thought. He shook his head. Frostclaw wasn't gone long enough for that. Even though she was dead, she could still see him from Starclan. He wouldn't want her to think he forgot her.

He jumped, before looking at the ground. "I miss my mate, Frostclaw." He said. "Why don't you go back to her?" Daisy asked. "She's dead. She was sick and went off into the forest alone and nobody saw her for a moon. Then I left." He muttered. Daisy sighed. "Well, maybe she came back?" She asked. Speckleblaze shook his head.

was he? Could he have become a barn cat? Frostclaw shook her head as she heard voices. It sounded definitely like
a molly. A barn cat. Frostclaw lifted her head and sniffed the air as she seemed to get closer.

"If she was dead, they would find her body eventually. They would bury her, right? Maybe the best thing to do would be to go see her, even if she isn't alive." Daisy suggested. Speckleblaze looked up at her. "If I go back, will you come with me?"

Daisy didn't hold Speckleblaze's gaze. "Nah, I can't leave. Your clan wouldn't have anything for me. They aren't my friends and family." She mewed, flicking her tail back a forth. "But... I'll be there! The clan would want you! I can't be there on my own!" Speckleblaze insisted. "Speckle, those cats are your clanmates. They will be there for you." Daisy murmured. "But..." He looked at the ground. "Go back to your clan. You can come visit me any time. Maybe bring a friend. But I can't stay there. They'd call me a chubby house cat. Your clanmates..." She blinked. "Here's one now." She muttered. Speckleblaze stared down at the she-cat, his eyes widening. "Hey! Kitty! You happen to be the darn Frostclaw that went and broke his heart by dying?" She purred, looking down at Frostclaw.

As Frostclaw got closer, she heard more, and more voices. But not knowing if this small 'camp' or farmhouse
was safe, the molly stayed put. She decided to wait to see if anyone would notice her, or come out to hunt.
Frostclaw lie down while waiting as sleep quickly draped over here like a dark blanket. In her sleep, the molly
dreamed about her past life. Her life before everything got lost..

Fallenstar nodded her head softly and smiled, her tail flicking quietly behind her. "Wonderful, I know you'll do good." She couldn't help but feel sadness also, after all, it felt as though she would be replacing Frostclaw. Fallenstar sighed softly. Frostclaw was like a daughter to her, after she had first found her as a kit in the woods while she was first deputy. The she-cat shook her head and turned towards the opening of the den. "Briar, Sheep, you both may come back in."

She smiled and watched him leave, waving her tail in a small goodbye. "Bye Greenheart! Have fun!" And with that, the orange and black tortoiseshell trotted outside, happy to have most of the cats in the clan happy and healthy again.

Owlcall gave Fallenstar a curt nod before slipping out of the den when Briar and Sheep came inside. The dark tabby bounded across the clearing to Tawnyshadow. "Fallenstar asked me to be the deputy!" He purred.

Stoatfur opened his mouth to speak, only to stop and nod. "Of course, let's get back to camp first." He mewed, padding over and picking Coconutpaw up by her scruff. "I need to fix her wounds." He mewed, slightly muffled by Coconutpaw's scruff.

"Lean on my shoulder." He mewed to Gingerpelt, his gaze softening as he looked at his mate.
