Rainstar almost snarled. "What are you doing back here?" he said, keeping his anger in check and his tail lashing in anger.

Crestfall stood by her former mentor, instantly knowing who she was. She bared her teeth beside him, her tail lashing also. She was the one who left the Clan becuase (state reason here)! She left Rainstar with a broken heart! Crestfall was about the only one who brought him back on his paws! And she loathed her for that. Her fur bristled, making it clear she was unwelcome.

Smudge glanced briefly at her brother, so quickly that he didn't realise that she had looked at him. "I made a mistake when I left." She sat down, and shivered from the memories. "Being alone was the worst thing I have ever done. Besides when C..." Stopping herself, she hurried onto what she was trying to say. "After something terrible happened, moons ago, I realised that my home was here, and it always has been." Pausing again, she added softly, "I have the right to be here, my kin lived here. My kin still live here. And I want to know about my father's death. I don't think that it was an accident."

Ginger couldn't help himself, he snorted. "And you think Rainstar is just going to let you rejoin the Clan? When you left him? When you left me? Things have changed since you were last here, Smudge. We don't let in loners." His fur bristled when his father was mentioned. "We know that it wasn't an accident, there were bite marks in his neck,"

Echopaw and Tigerpaw sat in camp boredly.

Rainstar almost felt agreed with Gingerstep. He wasn't ready to accept her into the Clan yet, but she was right. She had a right. Her kin was here, but he knew her brother won't let her into the Clan either. Crestfall was bristling beside him, almost as if she was voicing his thoughts. Before he could say anything, she said, "I thought you weren't coming back! You broke the warrior code by leaving the Clan and submitting to the kittypet life!" She took a step forward, but jerked back, and the move looked as if she wanted to lunge at Smudge in her rage. "You don't deserve to come back to DarknessClan!"
