History ~ Rico was a runt and his mom abandoned him as a pup and he had to fend for himself. Shortly after he ran into Akia, she quickly became his sister and best friend but without a whole pack - will they thrive?

Akia sat in the shelter of a large rock. It's thick base was stuck deep in the ground and pointed out at an angle that allowed it to cover a large space just tall enough for her to sit under. The rain pattered onto the ground for as far as Akia could see. The sky was overcast with dark, grey, ominous clouds floating slowly by. As Akia sat there quietly, the rain started to grow heavier, puddles of water beginning to form on the leafy ground. This was a terrible day. Most of the prey was hiding from the rain; out of sight and out of reach. The rain washed away any fresh scents of deer that Akia could follow. She had to admit that being a lone wolf- without a pack -was kind of difficult. Sometimes packs would move into the area and steal her territory. And why not join a pack? Akia didn't get along too well with others... Usually they'd chase her away, or she'd mess up and they would tell her to leave. Really, it was pointless even trying. Akia felt her stomach growl quietly. She got up reluctantly and padded out of the shelter of the large rock in an effort to find even the smallest bit of prey.

Rico sat diligently on a log with a dead deer carcass from before, watching it carefully as he saw a large animal coming. "Whoever could that be?" He thought to himself. Rico got up quietly and started investigating the area. The creature must have ran off, rico was quite confused but ran back to the carcass and started eating the deer. He stopped every few seconds due to rustling in the woods behind him. He wondered what exactly it was he saw running off into the distance.

Akia raised her muzzle, smelling the air for food. a faint tang hit her tongue. deer. She carefully padded towards the scent. It definitely wasn't alive, which means that something had probably caught it. If she could catch whatever it is off guard... she paused. There was rustling in the bracken ahead. Akia found a spot where she could see what the noise was.
Another wolf... Smaller; not by much, but definitely smaller. Most likely younger than her. Akia turned around to find a spot where she might be able to wait until the wolf was done eating- or no... She could confront it. Or she could just run up and quickly steal some food. Yes. She would steal it.
Silently, Akia Crept up behind the stranger, getting ready to run up and just steal a part of the partly eaten carcass.

rico jumped growling at the female wolf hovering over his kill. silently giving her a look as if he was saying "who are you trespasser?" he saw she was alone tilting his head to the side slightly and whines out "where's your pack?"

Akia almost flinched from surprise when the wolf turned around. She scoffed. "A pack?" She growled and continued. "I don't need a pack." Her hackles raised, Akia prepared herself to take on a challenge. Most wolves she met were very aggressive and didn't react calmly to her attitude.

rico looks at her calmly with a low pant, he continued "looks like we're a lot alike. i'm Rico." he softly nudged the deer moving it towards her.

Akia looked at Rico, startled. Was he offering food to her? No wolf had ever done that before, of course... Is it a trick?.. Akia felt her hunger increase a bit as the tantalizing smell wafted into her nose. She looked down, avoiding Rico's gaze. "I'm Akia..." She didn't say anything else as she padded forward hesitantly and began to eat.

rico somewhat smiled at akia "it's nice to meet you Akia rico added as he sat down willingly and let her eat peacefully.
