{Hello qvq I haven't posted here before even though I am a hoarder, but I just have to chime in on the discussion I see, as I'm actually having the same problem qvq}
{I've wanted to have a complete collection for quite a while, but after a long semi-hiatus from the site and then coming back, I'm just not as interested in pets as I used to be, at least for the most part. I still like pets, of course! But now I'm really debating just keeping my hoards and favorites and using the rest of my pets either to trade for hoards, dreampets, art, or just as gifts...but, maybe it's the hoarder in me, I kinda don't want to part with my pets :"D}
{@ Lunar Kitty ;; I definitely like your idea here though. I might have to gradually try that. I just have too many pets that collect dust--well, pretty much all of them, to be honest...}

{Anyway, so now I'll talk about my hoards qvq I only have five active ones right now, I had around fifteen before but since I wasn't doing anything with the majority of them I just marked them as complete x>}

What do you hoard?
{I hoard rats, foxes, multistaffs, rat-based butterfly wolves, and these butterfly wolves.}
{I guess I technically have item hoards too? Just not active, really. But I do kinda hoard halos, wings, "I love you" speech bubbles, and plushies, specifically rat plushies.}

Why do you hoard them?
{I hoard rats and foxes because they're two of my favorite animals, which explains the rat butterwolves as well x> The multistaffs, I've just never been able to part with my extras, and I always love them as a whole, so I finally decided to hoard them. And the last hoard? I just love the designs xD}
{I hoard halos, wings, and the speech bubbles because I use them to dress up the rats I have that look like my real pets. And I just really like the plushies!}

How large is your hoard?
{I've got 3148 rats, 519 foxes, 418 multistaffs, 20 rat butterwolves, and 8 fox butterwolves. I really need to shift my focus to the two butterfly wolf hoards, especially since I'm still missing outcomes from the foxy litter, but rats are my passion, and they're the ones I always find in the Pound x>}

What is your goal for the hoard?
{As of now, they're all unlimited. I'd like to eventually break a hoard record but for now it's just hoarding for the sake of hoarding.}

Do you overpay for hoard pets/items?
{I prefer not to. If it's an outcome I don't have yet, I might pay a little more, and of course I'd pay more for rarer outcomes. Since some of the items I hoard are store items I'd overpay slightly for them too, especially since I don't actively seek them out as hoard items.}

{I have to say my biggest perk of my hoards is how easy it is to get rats. I mean, I know I'll always find one somewhere in the Pound. My main source for increasing my hoards is definitely events, also. I've sort of got it down to a science now xD I keep almost all my tokens throughout the event, then at the end, I only get as many pets as there are outcomes of it [and use the doubles to swap later], then spend the rest on hoard pets! Not only does it usually increase my hoard by 10-25 pets, but most of the outcomes are at least rare, so it just looks cool xD I did that with the last Halloween event, and now I've got a bunch of rare foxes and a whole lot of rare ratties xD}
{That also goes a little with my biggest frustration as well? Right now I'm just irritated that since I missed the entire summer space event, not only did I not get to spend a bunch of tokens on rare rats, but there was a very rare outcome too. Plus I just like those rats. But oh well, that's how it goes x>}

I have A LOT of hoards. Most are near to completion and I migt start hoarding green malk dragons until I get 10 of them. I have 2 so far

Even if I do try to disband my collection, I really dont know where to Start...
With Rats? There are still too many that I've come to like
With Spiders? I got most of them recently, and most with a bit of overpay...

In other News, I think I'm gonna have my first over-20-of-each-outcome-Hoard, the Flurrfle Hamsters xD
I reached over 40 pets in the hoard, and I cant Seen to stop - and they dont even have a Name yet xD

No accidental lists though, i struggle enough with lists 😂

Honestly, I'm just looking for opinions right now. I'm considering only keeping hoards and list pets, no rares, no extras, nothing. It's difficult because over the years I've worked hard for some of the pets and my collection has grown and I don't know how I'd feel about letting some of the pets go. Plus side is that I'd have a huge huge fodder for list pets and pets that I actually want to collect, but when you've been on the site for more than a few years and have a collection, it's difficult to remove some of those pets. If that makes sense? Also pet rarity mostly, not entirely, increases with date, yet it seems pointless to have so many pets collecting dust when they could be put towards bigger goals and given to users who will cherish them. Some of the list pets I have done art for, so have a slightly bigger resentment to trading them. I'd really love to downsize my pets, but I've never done it before and there would be no going back. It would make pet groups more manageable though ^^

What you could do is kind of what I'm doing? Just go through and find the pets that have the MOST sentimental value to you, and keep those? Get rid of everything else and every once and a while go back to those you've kept and see if any have lost their appeal. Or, any that you like and you think you have the fodder for, make them a hoard? I'd keep the list pets that you love/worked hard for because I understand the difficulty one has trading for them. But if there's any you simply don't like, I'd say having them as fodder for hoards and other lists you DO like would be better.

Like many others have posted on the last few pages I'm also struggling with what to do with my collection. I like hoarding so I won't stop that but what about the rest? I've worked hard to get my collection to where it is right now, yet I finally realized I will never have the patience or skills to reach a complete collection. So... now what? Pull everything apart, keep some stuff I like, use the rest for hoards?

Ive been struggling with collection stuff too
I only have a few proper ones, but I've kinda fallen out of love with my pps dogs, but I started collecting them the very first day I joined CS. Its been complete for a couple years, but now I look and just see fodder, but I feel ife I traded them off id want them back, and I have plenty of fodder for right now so idek.

Its so difficult deciding :'(:'(:'(

Id like to chip in and say that.. completing is not as fulfillin as youd think! Cs got boring very fast for me after i completed my pet collection! Only two months after completing i decided to go and complete my item collection, which i managed to do like two years later and now again im like.. what do?

Around the 18th is the only real excitement because id have to retrade for the missing urs to recomplete, but throughout the year its all outcome swaps and nothing that hard. So if youre more into hoarding, id honestly say ive got more fulfillment from completing big hoards rather then completing my collections! Its also something you need to maintain, while a complete hoard is just that.. complete.

Well I was going to reply to this whole "full collection/hoarding" topic, but it became a post for the Collection discussion, but I do have a hoard question... When your completed (or even in progress) hoard goes rare, what do you Do? Keep going, give it a goal or discard it? I have several completed hoards that have turned that are just sitting there, and others I shrunk down so I could have a few Rares in my fodder...
