The Hunter and his Prey
India was quite large, and quite frankly, smelt of elephant dung. I had to keep telling myself I was here, for what all the other hollywood actors came here for- the tiger hunting. From what I heard it was wonderful- you go out into the wild with nothing but guns, water, food, and elephants, and you strike down as many tigers as you can find. My goal is to get so many, I won't be able to count them on my fingers. "William!" I heard my guide call, motioning me over to a large elephant. "This is Thalji, my elephant. She will hold the honor, of taking us tiger hunting." He said in a thick indian accent, his thick mustache dripping with dust and sweat. I chuckled at the elephant, and put my hands on my hips. "Your elephant is an ugly beast, no? I'm off to get some water." My guide took my insult like a punch in the stomach, and furrowed his eyebrows, whispering comforting words to the elephant in indian. "What a strange man." I coughed, rubbing dust out of my eyes. It was awfully hot, dry, and dusty. I kept a container of eyedrops in my left pocket, like my angent told me. She didn't want me cringing in pictures the press took of me, holding my kill. I got to the tent, where there were bottles of water. I grabbed on by the neck, and just as I was about to take a swig, I heard all of the guides yelling for their customers, "Come! The hunt begins!"
It was so oblivious- it just stood there, munching grass, like the fat little animal it was. Munch, crunch, munch, crunch. Was all it did. It was not get in my kill zone, so I had to be patient and wait for it's grazing instincts to drive it closer towards me. I had been waiting there, for what had seemed like hours, to wrap my jaws around it's throat, and bring it back to my cubs. They had just been weaned off of my milk- they had been weaned too early, but I couldn't help it. I stopped producing milk, because I was too hungry, and now my poor cubs would have to suffer. Spend long days, licking bones that had the flesh torn off of them long ago. The axis deer took a step towards me, streching it's neck out to nibble on grass, just a few feet away from my claws. Yes. I thought, crouching, getting in position to strike. I lunged, my claws slashing empty air. Even before I had lunged, something had startled it. But what? Then I heard it. The heavy footsteps of elephants- but a strange garbled noise was intermixed with the elephant's trumpets and earth shaking footsteps. It was the sound of a very strange animal, that's for sure. I pushed my way through the tall grass, peering through the blades that were still in front of me. There were strange, naked fleshy animals, perched atop the elephants. They were quite ugly. They had fur ontop of their head, and strange cloths draped in their bodies. And to make them even stranger, they had no tails. I watched as they began to pass, sticking my nose out just a bit further, to catch their scent, and tell the story about the strange naked creatures to my cubs, and tell them how they scared the prey away, when the elephants stopped. The creatures made a strange hissing noise, and pointed in my direction. One of the creatures pulled out a large stick, and pointed it at me, one eye open, one eye shut. I purrend with contempt, what strange creatures! Then there was a loud bang, and blood splattered along my body.
"Good shot boy!" My guide cried out, throwing his arms around me. "Now go fetch your kill, don't be afraid is her eyes are still open, she won't hurt you." I nodded, still shaking from the loud bang from the gun. "Alright then." I said, carefully hopping off of the elephant, and hesitantly made my way to the fallen beast. It was a female, and a skinny one at that. I had hit her in the arm, but the magnitude of blood was astonishing- I must have hit an artery. She moaned in pain, and it made my knees wobbly. What had I done to this beautiful creature? She bellowed again, her eyes dim. I glanced back at my guide, who was looking in the other direction. "Good." I whispered to myself, and tore off a piece of my shirt, and wrapped it around the tiger's forearm. I pulled it tight, and stroked her cheek. "I know we will meet again someday. Now go- go." I stage whispered, motioning towards the grass. She seemed to understand me, and stood up, wobbling at first, but managed enough strength to push her way back through the grass. "How will I explain it to my gui... oh!" I put my hand in the pool of blood, and wiped it on the arm where I had ripped part of the sleeve off. I made a fake grimace, and hobbled back to my guide. "She didn't give up without a fight." I lied, biting my lip. "She went back into the jungle. Fancy that, eh?" I chuckled grimly, squinting my eyes shut. "Yes." He replied, cleaning up my "wound". "Fancy that."

I really like this one. The idea of the hunter and the prey is amazing.
