A kalon who’s reputation has been plastered on street corners
and rolled off the tongues of others – Zoloto is very well known,
though not always for the best of reasons. A girl who knows what
it’s like to love and to lose, this dignified, confident kalon often
gets too attached far too quickly. After the loss of her father,
Zoloto has become even more independent now than she’s ever
been. She is aware that you can’t always rely on others because
there’s no saying that they’ll always be on your side of things.
A flexible kalon, Zo can quickly adjust to new environments. If
she has plans and something changes last minute or part of the
plan fails, she is fast to come up with a new solution to pull off
her goals. She is also incredibly resourceful and when need be,
can use anything around her for a function a normal kalon
wouldn’t have even thought of. She is very methodical and
sophisticated in both her actions and her words. Those who
know her well pick up on her ability to search through her wide
vocabulary to find the right word for just about everything. As
bold, outgoing and in-your-face as Zoloto can be, she is also very
observant and pays careful attention to the things around her.
She often thinks things through before going ahead and doing
something, though at times she can be extremely impulsive
and thoughtless. Her loyalty is one of her best traits and that
is something everybody can agree on. She is a dedicated,
determined girl who keeps her promises, even if the situation
turns on itself. Her persuasiveness can be both good and bad.
She often gets what she wants when she wants and knows
exactly how to twist hers – and other’s, words to make it
happen, from getting things she wants and helping others
do the same, prudently defending herself to just some good,
innocent, friendly teasing. The ambitious, experimental
female can sometimes be quite unpredictable, though that’s
just how she is. A vivacious female, she is very energetic
and longs to be doing anything but sitting still and doing
nothing. Zoloto’s way of life results in her being competitive
when it comes to most things. Impassiveness, along with
sarcasm, are Zoloto’s best friends. Though content for the
most part, she still struggles with the grief of losing everybody
she loves, including herself. She hides her emotions to the
point that keeping them bottled up will one day make her
go off – a thought that scares her. Zoloto is probably one
of, if not the most cynical kalons you’ll ever come across.
She knows better than anybody how self-centered most others
are today. Nobody ever usually does anything unless it is to
benefit them in some way or they get something out of it.
When set off, annoyed, aggravated or frustrated she has the
ability to become a hostile, blunt fireball.

She is proud of her position and her wealth, and doesn’t take
it for granted, knowing that everybody dreams of having what
she has… however the money, overvalue and attention it brings
her is sometimes the last thing she wants. She wishes there
was a way that she could warn every kalon that wished they
could be rich and ‘popular’ that no, they indeed don’t. when
you get to where Zoloto is, you can’t trust anybody and the
only ones interested in getting to know you are only intrigued
in the money… not you.

The sirens could still be heard screaming in agony as the
crimson and royal blue flashing lights began reflecting off of
the walls of the small, dark, acrid-scented alley.

To many, he had it coming. There was no way that the leader
of such a large organized crime syndicate could live his life
unscathed, completely free of rules and restrictions. Zoloto’s
father, Demyan, (Russian form of Damien, meaning “to tame”
or “to kill” which is exactly what he did) was in the highest
position of a crime organization under the Russian mafia,
known as the “Golden Serpent”. He had admittedly done
terrible things throughout his entire life, alongside Zoloto,
and she’d gladly be the first to tell you that. The way that
her father had achieved his rank among the syndicate was
told to her when she was far too young to understand the
cruel way that life after life had been taken by her own
father. She never asked him again, knowing that the answer
was probably something that she would never be able to
forget, as it would be etched into her brain for the rest of
her life.

Some people saw her father as a devil, some as a
hero, cleaning up the streets. To Zoloto, he was her father,
and nothing would ever change that. She had always been
a daddy’s girl and that was never as undeniable as it was
the day her mother had packed her bags and left.

Her mother and father met on one of his firearm deals.
The moment that Demyan laid eyes on her, he was in love,
which came as a surprise to those working below him,
having believed he was incapable of love or compassion
for anything or anyone. Zoloto’s mother was from a
wealthy family in London and had moved to Russia in
an attempt to get away from her own overbearing
parents – defiance ran in Zoloto’s blood like the wild
stallions across the plains. After being together for
three years, Zoloto was brought into this cruel,
uncaring, conscious world. She grew up surrounded
by the organization, what she called her extended
family, and has never wished for anything else.
Almost everything she'd ever laid eyes on was paid
strictly with cash. It was how her father made sure
there was almost absolutely no way of tracking any
transactions regarding the Golden Serpent.
In all actuality, the gang wasn’t truly as bad as they
were made out to be. More often than not they were
described as menacing, savage and cutthroat kalons.
Although there were quite a few who lived like this
in the Golden Serpent, her father was almost the
opposite. One night, he had even saved a life and
prevented an unnecessary, needless murder. That,
however, didn’t change the fact that lives were
taken in order to protect them, her father and the
organization.
Yes, the Serpent is a ring of illegal activities.
But in the end it it was her home and she became
accustomed to the fact that every now and again
things could go wrong, and that was just part of
living in the syndicate.

As she grew older and began to understand her
surroundings, she was brought into more of the
group activities. From surveying sights, overlooking
deliveries, distributions and operations, she was
always under the careful watch of her father’s
eye and hadn’t involved in the violent aspect –
only the gambling, firearm and ammunition
transfers. Gradually, she was brought into some
more risky, delicate objectives.

One night Ephyriam, a close friend of her father’s,
came to Zoloto with bad news. Her father had
been found dead in a cold alley. It is believed
he was shot when one of the deals he attended
went south. The news devastated and
overwhelmed Zo. She had become known
throughout the serpent and the talk among the
older members always involved what would
happen after the passing of her father – who
would take over the ringleader position?
She had never thought anything of it until that
wet, rainy night when Ephryriam handed her
one of FIVE RINGS her father wore. A Golden
Serpent. Along with his position in the
organization, she also inherited his wealth.
Every last ounce of it. She is now the ringleader
of the organization and is admired by everybody
on the inside… and the outside of the Serpent
as not only the first female to rank this high –
but to bring so much success to the group.

It has since been a year and a half since her
father’s passing and Zoloto has become a
better ringleader than her father in the eyes
of most. She had moved out of the house that
she shared with her father three months
after his passing. From a young age, she
had a fascination with cars and as of right
now owns nineteen of her dream cars with more
to come. These are stored in a large, pearl
white car garage in which concealed safely
underneath it is an even larger, twenty-one room
underground house. She often goes and
visits the house of her father that carried
the putrid stench of decay. What once was
a very sturdy roof was now reduced to the
outcome of abandonment, with large gaps
allowing the sun’s light to shine through –
and the rain to seep in. The furniture that
Zoloto was unable to move to the new
house had been rearranged by the weather,
the intricate patterns of wallpaper chipped
and peeling… and the red carpeted floor
was coated in a filmy layer of dust.
Nevertheless, it will always be beautiful to Zoloto.

The female kalon had decided that she
would rebuild the house, and has begun
saving up her easily achieved money to
do just that.

As much as Zoloto loves the money, fame
and reputation that she owns with her
position and wealth, she also knows how
much it can affect you and it is possible
to lose control. Most wish to be rich, to
have the things and the money that this
kalon has, however sometimes, it can be
Zoloto’s worst enemy.

She is a queen of her own kind.
The streets are her kingdom and these houses – her empire.
Royal among the alleys.

Not all stories are of fairy tales of kings, queens and royalty.

Zoloto isn’t perfect, as many other kalons are – or
at least seem to be. Zoloto has her faults, many
of them. Her life isn’t the most innocent or cautious
and she knows that. She doesn’t hide the fact that
sometimes, she has truly lost all control. Unlike
most kalons who by this point have realized what
they are doing and have changed their ways…
Zoloto has only done the realization part of that.
To her there is more of a lifelong bond, a lot more
honor, loyalty and truth in the Serpent – in those
who know that what you want doesn’t just come
to you – than in most of those ‘high-class’
businessmen or true royaly heirs. All around her
kalons lead bold, distinctive lives, drive flashy
cars, live in some of the largest mansions…
and die at young ages.

It’s hard to ‘just stop’ something that’s been all you
know since the beginning of your life and this kalon
is a show of that.

After the brutal, unexpected death of her father, Demyan,
the young Russian kalon inherited his position as ringleader of the “Golden Serpent” – an
organized crime syndicate under the Russian Mafia. Not only did she receive his title, but
the unbelievably large sum of money that came with it.

The most important of her possessions, however, would be the five golden rings passed
down from her father.


the first and most important ring - a golden snake
with glowing red eyes. her father's favorite animal
was the snake, thus the nickname he coined for the
syndicate, the "Golden Serpent". therefore this ring
not only is a symbol of him personally, but it is also
the emblem of the organization. working as a warning
to others that if you mess with her - you mess with
the largest and most deadly gang under the mafia.


Atop the second rings sits a seemingly haunting
red stone… haunting because that’s what it is.
Although Zoloto isn’t completely in belief, her
Father once said that within this ring was the
Stone of wealth, and that as long as she kept
It on her, she would never run out of luck
Or money. So – when she doesn’t like being
This rich, why not take it off? You ask –
Well good question. It is not only paper wealth,
But spiritual and relationships.


the third wing that this kalon received after
her father's death is a simple one in which
the ends are intertwined. this ring represents
the tight knit group - family even - that
the Golden Serpent offers.



these last two rings are even more simple than
the fourth. the two rings are somehow looped
through each other. her father had always kept
it a secret on how they had gotten like that,
and even still to this day Zoloto has no idea.
although these rings are still wearable, she
often just leaves them tucked away behind
her hair. someday she will find their meaning.
