Meet Lindor, a bit of a strange character- and no, he wasn't always a mechanic.
Just a little lonely orphan girl in a seaside town that was too big for her until he
found out he could get away from his crummy situation with a little bit of
ingenuity on his part- and a whole lotta flirting and appeasement. He had to lay
on the charisma and please the crowd, one should say.
Lindor got pretty adept at it- flashing someone a sweet smile to distract their
attention, or getting their more paternal instincts to flare up with large, wet eyes
and a trembling voice retelling the tale of an estranged orphan boy. Oh man, people
ate that up. He wasn't too keen on joining any families and being locked away
though, so he jumped through hoops to make sure it was an unspoken fact that he
was a boy- girls were kept off the street, and boys were not. He was loved no doubt,
but very few in that poorish town had the resources for a boy, of all things. Especially
one that wasn't their own.
It didn't bother him, really... He always did wonder why he was abandoned, though.
Long story short, the young vaiki became the town's constant, the iconic yet plucky
orphan with the poor arm. Lindor, sweet faced and cheeky, wore his title with a bit of
pride. He's been pulling the wool over their eyes for years now, but nowadays he has
no intention of changing any aspect of himself. He likes roughhousing with other
boys, able to jeer and jest as he pleases without being silenced or pitied by his gimp
arm. He likes being the favorite, being protected by the town from the other, less
savory orphan boys.
The title that Lindor held as the pauper prince came into question when he decided to
poke fun at a handsome visiting sea captain who, frankly, wasn't all too respectful to the
townspeople. They never were really.
Lindor was only half certain that the townspeople would come to his aid, since the man
was honestly terrifying to the young Lindor, so when Lindor was finally caught by the equal
parts amused and annoyed captain, nobody stepped up to defend him. Figures.
Well, Lindor didn't survive this long for no reason. It was difficult charming his way into the
captain's better graces, but he somehow succeeded in getting a spot on the captain's ship.
(He later found out that the captain saw right through him, but that's a story for another
day.) Lindor would miss the town, but he definitely wouldn't miss that betrayal.
The captain was as complex as they came. The male vaiki commanded the ship with iron
claws, yet took the lowly job of the ship's mechanic too. He took Lindor under his wing and
built him his mechanical aid and put Lindor to work. The captain saw intelligence in Lindor's
gaze- he wasn't about to let it go to waste.

Name;; Rain
Gender;; Female
╚═══════════════╝
Personality;;
Adventurous, but with a sort of maturity about her. Rain is typically more on the upbeat side of things and likes to laugh. She makes a pretty good leader and is able to keep tabs on at least five people at once (or so she says). Doesn't fear much, but isn't stupid and knows what to avoid. Fairly knowledgeable about her surroundings and is typically observant. A stickler for schedule and nice, organized charts. Fond of mountain air, so she can often be found out hiking in her spare time. Responsible and is always sure to get her work done...even if it's two seconds before it's needed, as she can procrastinate the tiniest bit. Pretty friendly and outgoing, but she respects other people's space. This is sort of a necessity, as she has a sort of daunting aura about her. She's quite tall and can occasionally get annoyed about having to look down on people. Because of this, she tries to find excuses to sit or get on lower ground whenever possible, hoping people don't call her out on it. Has the sort of voice that rings out, always loud and clear. Overall, she's a crisp, confident leader who isn't afraid to get her paws dirty or to laugh.
