ashes. this was all that was left of koaclan's territory. lightning struck a single leaf, causing a forest fire that left many felines without a home. the clan leader was a strong and fearless cat. after the blazing fire destroyed the camp, he decided that every feline would follow him to find a new home for the clan. the journey was long and hard, not to mention dangerous. many couldn't make the journey. the deputy, a soft hearted she-cat, of the clan had had enough of the leader's poor decisions and decided to speak out.

"Adderstar, many of the cats cannot keep going. We need to take a break and think about where we are going. If we don't stop, i'm afraid we might lose more cats."
adderstar stopped in his tracks and spun around, facing the feline with fury in his eyes. he stood tall as he replied to his deputy, his voice full of spite and annoyance.
"You are not the leader of this clan, I make the decisions. If you think you make better decisions than me then you are sadly mistaken. If you insist on defying my orders, then you can leave this clan and never return, the choice is yours."

the deputy took the leader up on the offer and ended up taking half of the clan with her to the beautiful ocean shores where she created 'tidalclan'. adderstar on the other hand took the remaining cats deeper into the other side of the island, where the fire did not harm the flora and fauna, into a lively forest. there, he created the clan 'horizonclan'.

two } literacy is set to at least three lines. now this is lines, not sentences! also, please make your posts neat. even just size 85 font and centering it would suffice!
three } have as many cats as you can handle, but make sure they are all active. also, no perfect characters. no being your own mate, apprentice/mentor, or crush. keep your cats realistic, and also please try your best to keep genders somewhat even! you may only have one 'high ranking' feline. for example, if you are leader, you may not have a medicine cat apprentice. this allows others to have a fair chance of getting a high rank as well. fade to black when mating or birthing.
four } please be active! this rp took a while to create and i don't want it to die off! if you are going to be gone longer than three days, please pm me and tell me!
five } post all forms and ooc in the discussion thread please!
six } please turn off your signatures when posting! it will keep the thread looking nice and clean. if you need help trying to turn it off, just shoot me a pm and i will help!
seven } be respectful to one another. i will not tolerate ooc fighting, it is disruptive and a pain to deal with. getting along with everyone will benefit everyone, right? your characters, on the other hand, can fight all day long if you want!
