What is it?
The referral contest is essentially users who mark the thread saying that you sent them after you properly invited them to the species. Be sure to read the do's and don'ts as to avoid trouble.
How does it work?
You may refer people in several ways, such as putting a link in your signature inviting them to check out the species and say you sent them, or post on the CAAA about the species and invite others to mark in your name. With each referral, you will earn a Grey Scale, which can build up to earn you a vast array of prizes, even possibly earning you a MYO! For every seventh referral, you will receive a Silver Scale!
Do's and Don'ts
Do
-Have the person marking in your name state your proper username.
-Follow the rules and refer properly in obeying both Synnove and CS rules
-Have fun and don't cheat!
-Ask the people you are referring to say how you sent them!! Ex: Mark! Referred by ____ Through Signature!
Don't
-Pm/offer payment/post on Rate The Character thread/post on threads not allowed/make referring you required to trade with you/create multiple accounts/break CS rules
-Lie, cheat, or try to earn more than you have actually earned
Punishments
I will be messaging everyone who marks in someones name to ensure that they were referred properly. If someone was referred in a rule-breaking way, the referral will not count and you will receive a message. If three people are referred improperly by you, you will be banned from the event for a month. If the problem continues, you will receive a strike and be permanently banned from the event.
Tips/Tricks
1. Be honest. In another species that did a similar event, I posted on the CAAA explaining what was going on, why I wanted them, and how much was left until I reached my goal.
2. Do not break one of the rules. This is the easiest way to get thrown out of the event.
3. Always provide a link and an image to what the species looks like. Whether using the species stamp or a smaller version of the home image, having an image and link will help you gain more interest as it is easier to access and see what the species looks like.
4. Be polite and try not to sound like you are forcing them. People aren't always willing to do something for someone who comes off as rude.
5. If you want to try a method not mentioned, pm me! I will help you figure out if it is allowed or not :)
