"She should be fine," the doctor replied, "but if any monitors go off I would suggest getting her out of the way of any doctors and nurses," he said, walking out and making sure the door shut behind him. The monitors beeped steadily to the soft background of the steady whoosh of the ventilator. Dan remained peacefully quietly, peacefully still.

Phil soon fell asleep. Janai on the other hand kept going back and forth towards dan and the cupboard. She laid on his chest "daddy.. wake up.. the sky is awake.. so you need to be awake" she mumbled crying softly

Dan stirred slightly before becoming still again. His eyes opened and closed again, and Dan returmed to his still, peaceful, quiet state. The steady beep of the heart monitor was much slower now.

Janai nudged dan hearing him "daddy.." she asked sniffling as he stirred "please wake up" she gently poked dan in the cheek. "Please daddy" she spoke

The heart monitor quickened it's steady pace and Dan's eyes fluttered open. He instictively put an arm around Janai."Ph-Phil," he tried to utter, but no sound came out as the breathing tube was blocking his vocal cords. Instead he just looked at Phil, fear in his eyes.

Janai looked at dan crying "daddy" she still had his jacket over her. She felt his arm wrapped around her and soon calmed down slightly. Phil was still sound asleep.

Dan pulled Janai close and pointed to Phil. An alarm went off on the heart rate monitor as Dan's heart rate quickened.

Janai shook phil up and she stayed with dan. Phil looked at dan "your okay!" He spoke "okay let me call the nurse" he pushed the call button "the nurse will take a ventilator out soon" he spoke

Dan nodded softly and closed his eyes, exhausted. He tried to talk, but it didn't work, and he gagged.

The nurse came in and took the ventilation pipe out. She smiled "good to see you awake.." she spoke watching the young child cuddled into dan. Phil held dans hand "you.. you scared me so badly.. I was worried you wouldn't live.." he spoke
